Episode 14:
Sober Adventure's with Zack Gudzan
Zach is 31, from Charlotte NC and has been sober since: 9-29-14! He travels full-time with my German Shepherd, he is really open about faith, music pretty much his love language, and he freaking love the outdoors, writing, running, golf, football, and photography. "September 29, 2014 was the darkest day of my life. I had somehow become a drug addict, an alcoholic, severely depressed, and suicidal. Planning to end my own life that afternoon, I fell to my knees and said a final prayer - just in case God was listening. An overwhelming peace flooded my bedroom in that very moment, and I knew it was time to surrender my heart to the Lord. By His unfailing grace, I've been clean and sober since that day.
I fell wildly in love with Jesus and decided to enter full-time ministry in 2016. (A huge leap of faith, but totally worth it.)"

Episode 11: What is the Pink Cloud?
In this episode, Courtney and Lori talk about what exactly the "Pink Cloud" is. Do you know what it is? Are you confused because you haven't felt it? It's OK!
The gals break the definition down and talk about if they had it in their own recovery.
They discuss if experiencing the pink cloud sets you up for failure in your journey. What happens when the pink cloud feeling goes away, then what?
The ladies are honest that for the first two years of their recovery they kind of hated it but learned that those first two years are most important to building your solid foundation in recovery and on your sober journey.

Episode 9: Doing It Sober with Daniella Park
"On September 11, 2006, everything changed. I was in the shower after a very hard night. I felt at the end of my rope with utter loneliness like never before when my body decided to fail as well. I started having horrible pains like someone was stabbing me in my stomach over and over. My hands were stuck closed, and my face was contorting. I figured this was it, I was having a stroke, and now I was going to lose the last bit of life I had: my looks. We both know looks only get you so far, but that's as far as my delusional mind could see at that moment of my life. I dialed 911 and had my mother rush to get me. We went straight to the hospital. We sat in the waiting room because there were eight other critical patients in there. I remember telling my mother as I sat white as a ghost, "I'm so sorry Mom I'm not going to make it."
Tune in so you can find out more of Daniella's story!

Recovery is not easy, but it is worth it and being able to share my past has been my greatest asset, giving me a purpose in life. It also reminds me of what can happen if I choose to go back there. Sharing my story keeps me sober. Now that's a great deal! For fun and for free!"

YOU get to hear all about the girl's vison for themselves for 2019 and some quick "how to" to nail down what this year looks like for you.
They also talk about the importance of a strong morning routine, no more scrolling in the morning or checking emails right when you get up. Other people can wait put the time into you!!
Do you think New Year's resolution's are dumb? Courtney sure does and Lori thinks its setting rules for yourself which can actually be crippling and non freeing.
The ladies also talk about how avoiding is NEVER the key, the problem will always show back up in your life if you don't deal with it. Numbing it out with alcohol, drugs, sex, shopping, food and gambling will never make the problem go away long term.

Episode #7
The girls also talk about the exit plan they love to use most during the holiday events and parties. It's all about letting go of everyone's else's expectations and doing what makes you most happy during this time. Creating new traditions for yourself is key in recovery as they will explain. It gives you something to look forward to and not being all uncomfortable around family members that could eventually trigger you.
They also want you to know that it is ok if you are not feeling festive and just not in the mood to be all happy and jolly during the Holidays especially if you are in early recovery. In time they do become fun and all what you make of them.
