According to Philly NBC 10:
The son of Philadelphia rap artist and podcaster Gillie Da Kid was killed in a triple shooting Thursday night.
The shooting occurred on the 5800 block of Mascher Street in the Olney neighborhood at 8:24 p.m. in Philadelphia, police said.
A 25-year-old man was shot once in the back and taken to the hospital by police. He was pronounced dead at 8:39 p.m.
Police identified the slain man as Devin Spady from Wyncote, Pennsylvania.
A 28-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were also shot and transported to the hospital, where police said, both were placed in stable condition.
Police told NBC10 one of the victims ran over to a nearby home and ten spent shell casings were located at the scene.

On Wednesday, the police chief in Hoover, Alabama, unveiled new details Carlethia “Carlee” Russell, a 25-year-old Black nursing student, gave to detectives the day she was interviewed, as police continue to investigate what happened after she reportedly vanished for 48 hours.
Russell reportedly told police that she had seen a child walking along the side of the road, called 911 as she checked on the child, and screamed when a man allegedly forced her into a car.
The revelations, made at a press conference, came two days after Russell’s parents told NBC News in a written statement that they believed Russell had been taken the night of her disappearance and called on police to “pursue” her alleged abductor.

THE COLONIAL PACT
It is the Colonial Pact that set up the common currency for the Francophone countries, the CFA Franc, which demands that each of the 14 C.F.A member countries must deposit 65% (plus another 20% for financial liabilities, making the dizzying total of 85%) of their foreign exchange reserves in an “Operations Account” at the French Treasury in Paris.
The African nations therefore have only access to 15% of their own money for national development in any given year. If they are in need of extra money, as they always are, they have to borrow from their own 65% in the French Treasury at commercial rates. And that is not all: there is a cap on the credit extended to each member country equivalent to 20% of their public revenue in the preceding year. So if the countries need to borrow more than 20%, too bad; they cannot do it. Amazingly, the final say on the C.F.A arrangements belongs to the French Treasury, which invests the African countries’ money in its own name on the Paris Bourse (the stock exchange).
It is also the Colonial Pact that demands that France has the first right to buy or reject any natural resources found in the land of the Francophone countries. So even if the African countries could get better prices elsewhere, they cannot sell to anybody until France says it does not want to buy those natural resources.

10 dead, 56 wounded in Fourth of July weekend shootings in Chicago
Ten people are dead and at least 56 others have been wounded in shootings across the city of Chicago during the Fourth of July weekend, police say.
Though the numbers are close to those seen last year for the holiday weekend, this year saw a four-day weekend compared to three last weekend.
According to Chicago police data, collected between 6 p.m. Friday and 11:59 p.m. on the holiday, a total of 68 people were shot, eight fatally, over the same weekend last year, though that accounted for three days.
Over this year's four-day holiday weekend, the same police data showed 57 people were shot, eight of them fatally. NBC Chicago, however, included numbers from 5 p.m. Friday through 2 a.m. Tuesday.
The first homicide of the weekend was reported on Friday evening when a 43-year-old man was shot multiple times while standing on a street in the 5600 block of South Wolcott, police said.
The man was taken to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
No suspects are in custody, and police are investigating.
