The first rule of investing is protecting your capital. As all of you know, and probably have experienced, when you lose 50% of your investment, you must gain 100% to get back to the starting point. A loss destroys your investment.
Our next guest will tell you how to prevent these types of losses with hyper diversification and passive investing with a focus on multifamily. We will also discuss the secret to becoming financially independent: cash flow. AND how to vet a sponsor.
Jeremy Roll started investing in real estate and businesses in 2002 and left the corporate world in 2007 to become a full-time passive cash flow investor. As Founder and President of Roll Investment Group, Jeremy manages a group of over 1,000 investors who seek passive/managed cash flowing investments in real estate and businesses. My book recommendation this week is "the Creature from Jekyll Island" by Edward Griffin. This book gives you an insider's view of banking, market cycles, the federal reserve, FDIC, the world bank, and inflation - which is just another tax we pay. I can't recommend this book enough, especially in this current time, I promise it will change your perspective on finances itself.
