    • Consider using pay-per-click (PPC) advertising to target people already interested in your product or service in search engines like Google.
    • Utilize social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for PPC advertising to reach potential customers who may not be actively searching for your product or service.
    • Implement conversion tracking on your website to measure the effectiveness of your PPC campaigns and make data-driven decisions on which ads to run or turn off.
    • Use tools like Hot Jar to analyze user behaviour on your website and identify areas of friction that may be preventing conversions.
    • Experiment with different ad formats, such as paying per impression or per view, to see which method works best for your specific goals and target audience.
    • Track the path users take on your website to better understand their decision-making process and identify commonalities among those who convert.
    • Optimize your website's content and user experience based on PPC campaign data to improve conversion rates.
    • Monitor the performance of hashtags and keywords in your social media content and adjust your strategy accordingly to stay relevant and maximize engagement.
    • Utilize PPC advertising to increase brand awareness, even if your primary goal is not direct sales or conversions, as this can still contribute to your overall marketing efforts.
    • Continuously test and tweak your PPC campaigns to optimize performance and ensure you're getting the most value from your advertising budget.
Introduction to Pay-Per-Click Advertising Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is a valuable marketing tool that can provide quick results for businesses, particularly for small ventures looking to increase their online visibility. By targeting the right keywords, companies can effectively reach their desired audience and drive traffic to their website. Research and competitor analysis is crucial when determining the most effective keywords to use in a PPC campaign, ultimately leading to a better return on investment (ROI).  Ameet Khabra shares her expertise in PPC advertising and highlights the importance of creating a clear strategy and setting realistic goals when launching a campaign. She emphasizes that while organic SEO plays a crucial role in long-term visibility, PPC advertising can provide more immediate results in the competitive online marketplace. According to Ameet, thorough research and strategic keyword selection are essential components for a successful PPC campaign. Her obsession doesn't stop at marketing, however. Ameet's knowledge of and passion for American football has been called "excessively enthusiastic" (ask her an NFL question, we dare you). Her love for the Dallas Cowboys is second only to her love of her dogs, Luke and Leia.   We count on Ameet for her transparency, her impressive ability to pivot our clients' PPC campaigns at just the right moment to achieve maximum results, and her extensive collection of Celine Dion songs.   Download a checklist to help maximize your Google Ads https://hopskipmedia.com/   Other episodes you'll enjoy:

  • Cut Through the Noise: 7 Hours of Content to Build Trust
Tyler Basu is a content marketing consultant who helps entrepreneurs create short and long-form content to drive awareness and convert leads into qualified buyers. "It's the long-form content that's going to turn them into a much more qualified lead and a qualified buyer. I heard not too long ago, there was a survey done on business owners that were selling a high-ticket product or service and they dug into how much time did somebody actually spend consuming your content before they bought. And the answer was something like 7 hours." Unlock the power of content marketing with proven strategies to help you reach your goals! Tyler Basu was determined to find a way to cut through the noise and get the attention of strangers. He learned through research and surveys that high-ticket buyers spend about 7 hours consuming content before buying. He realized that in order to build trust, longer-form content was necessary instead of simply running ads and hoping for the best. So he created helpful and free content that would provide value, build trust and loyalty, and ultimately turn strangers into qualified buyers. Tyler's story is an inspiring example of how determination and hard work can be successful. In this episode, you will learn the following: 1. Once somebody knows you, it's the longer form content that's going to turn them into a much more qualified lead and a qualified buyer. [00:02:25] In terms of attention spans when it comes to delivering content, how much is too much? How much before you start to lose people? And is there a certain length? [00:07:49] One of the things that people need to consider if they're running a free workshop versus a paid. Show up rates for paid workshops are as high as like 80, 90%. With free webinars, it's still like in most cases somewhere between 30% to 50% show up rate. [00:10:54] With webinars, the strategy is that it's going to be informational at first and then shift to a pitch. I've seen much higher conversion rates from a paid workshop to somebody to book a call if they're interested in becoming a client. [00:13:46] Some of the most common mistakes are like over sharing too much content. Another mistake is not validating the topic. Before you even consider going down the road of automating it or selling a recording, just do it live. [00:16:19] I'm actually learning a lot from Ryan Moran right now. My wife and I are considering creating physical products for early childhood educators for her market. What is your favorite business book or podcast? [00:17:14] I've been sticking to the same tech stack for a while now. I use ActiveCampaign for email marketing, thrive Themes for websites, and funnels. Do you have a favorite new apart from Chat GPT?

Chapter Summaries: [00:00:01] The key thing that I notice when it comes to larger brands, that smaller brands to struggle with is they try to be everything to everyone. And so that's really the biggest piece of advice that I give smaller businesses: It's okay to not serve everyone. It's actually going to serve people better, including you. [00:05:46] Whether you like it or not, you have a personal brand. Your personal brand is how people talk about you when you're not in the room. You want to identify the key parts of you that align with your ideal customer. And then you want to amplify that as much as possible. [00:06:42] Everybody has a personal brand. How do they start to identify it? Creating an ideal customer profile or a customer avatar. Every single communication needs to be very consistent. [00:09:33] Sometimes having a creative or a graphic designer or a brand strategist come in and help you identify the way that you want to present yourself in the world can be really helpful. Anyone who's creating communications or producing stuff on your behalf, you need to set them up for success. [00:11:05] There's a lot of real estate investors out there that don't even have a marketing budget. What's working well, what's not? How can you systematize that and replicate it? And it all starts with that. [00:12:48] Most people are selling you on the idea of lead generation paid traffic. So doing it from the other way and reverse engineering where you've already started from. How many deals would it take to transform your business? [00:14:04] Hannibal: Most of us get wrapped up in the need to be bigger and better and scale along with the big guns. If we just took the time to scale back and do less, but do it infinitely better, we will ultimately be more successful and more healthy. [00:16:31] You need one good channel of communication if it's the right channel to transform your business. Your Rolodex is your most important asset whether it's your email list or your contact list. Finding a way to stay in touch with people on a regular and consistent basis is transformational for most businesses. [00:20:06] What are the three or four things that you would suggest a micro business or a small business owner first looks at? From there, reverse engineering those deals, those conversations from the point where the deal is made and back. And then the final one is just staying in regular personal communication with that list of key people. [00:21:09] Taylor Swift is one of my favorites. Mel Robbins is another person that I love. She just launched a podcast. That's the power of a personal brand. [00:23:01] My favorite podcast right now is actually the Business Made Simple podcast. I just converted all of my business operations and my CRM to Click Up, which is an online application. Clickup is really the easiest to use individually or with a team. [00:25:53] Paul: Do the hard things first. Mickey: I find if I start my day with one hard thing, the rest of the day gets to be really fun. How can people get hold of you? Mickey: You can book a free phone call on my website.

Personal branding is why they choose you. All about committing, and communicating how personally brandtastic you are. [00:00:42] content marketing is putting content out there that elevates your brand, gets brand exposure for you, and possibly gets lead generation and then revenue. Why is that important in a world where we are bombarded with marketing and messaging all the time? [00:02:07] You need to have a really good understanding of your audience. You need to target where you're going to be putting that content so it has a better chance of being seen and heard. AI-generated content is a good tool to use to help create content. But I wouldn't rely 100% on it. [00:06:10] Chat GPT only goes up to 2021 in terms of the data that it can tap into. That's a huge mistake. If you're going to rely on it in any way, shape or form, you need to do fact-checking before you publish anything. [00:07:49] Apart from AI, what other trends are you seeing in content marketing? You don't have to be everywhere, so you have to pick the platforms that work for you. Chat Gbt is going to dominate content marketing for the foreseeable future. [00:11:30] What is a good cadence for content marketing? It depends on the resources you have and that could be financial and human resources or technology. If you're not producing content on a regular basis then what's the point? Content can be repurposed for different platforms. [00:13:38] I am a huge advocate for quality over quantity. It just doesn't make sense to put out ten posts a day. And the thing is, I put out several blog posts, and several social media posts per week, but I schedule them all in advance. [00:15:34] What about the engagement side of content marketing? I do think it's important to respond within a reasonable amount of time. There are ways you can look at things like that and say, what do I need to do? [00:18:21] What should somebody be doing around measuring the effectiveness of their content marketing? Engagement is a very, very good measure. Google Analytics is a great tool in terms of trying to figure out who's coming to your website. Plenty of technology can do that analysis for you, depending on the platform. [00:21:11] You really need to be seen as a resource for people in your niche, your industry. If you're in commercial real estate, for instance, and you're catering to people who are investors, then you need to create content aimed at those investors. And they may or may not be evergreen topics. [00:22:47] What is an evergreen piece of content versus something else that's maybe more timely? What is a bank? Is an example of something that you may need to update later with more current statistics. enlightenment, education, and entertainment. Sounds like a ready formula for at least producing content that might get more engagement. [00:24:29] The Strip Down guides content marketing success. Secrets for Beginners is kind of A to Z in terms of content marketing. It's not meant to be a high-level academic type book, but more of a guide. Focus on the quality and don't worry about putting out ten blog posts a day. [00:27:17] You don't have to have a technical level of expertise in SEO to incorporate it into your content marketing strategy. Search engine optimization basically is saying, hey, here are some keywords that people use. You want your content to surface on the first page of search results. [00:33:08] There's no consensus on when to post on LinkedIn. Is there an optimal number of words for a particular article? More people are now looking at LinkedIn on Saturdays and Sundays. You need to figure out where people are in terms of their day. [00:36:26] Derek: Warren Buffett is a great example of somebody who knows what he's about. He says we could all strive to be a little bit more like Buffett. Derek: Who is your favorite personal brand and why? [00:38:14] I absorb information more along those lines than I do from a book or a podcast. I spend a lot of time on Google News and places like that where I can find out what's going on. Good newsletters know how to strike a balance and keep people coming back for more. [00:41:40] Do you use canva at all? I create all sorts of social media posts with Canva. It's so easy to use, and you do not have to be a graphic designer to wrap your head around how to use it. Do you have a new technology that you're enjoying? [00:42:52] One of the things I learned at one of the startups I worked at is to fail Quickly. If it's not working, at some point you've got to let it go. Figure out what didn't work, and then move on to something that is going to yield better results. [00:44:20] My book is available on Amazon. In fact, as we speak, we're finalizing the audiobook version, which is coming out very soon. Right now it's available in paperback, hardcover, and ebook versions. You can also find out more information about the book or about me on my website. [00:45:08] John, was that fantastic? Did it give you some ideas and actions that you can take right now to build your business? So get to it. Thank you for listening and have a fantastic day.

  • Unlock The Secret 3 Pillars to Personal Brand Success
"It is the cornerstone, the foundation of one's either success or lack thereof. And what does that mean? It means to a person, each successful individual I studied had most importantly, a flexible mindset." Brian Kelly is an entrepreneur and host of the Mind Body Business Show, who has studied successful entrepreneurs and identified the three pillars of success: mindset, body, and business. He believes that building personal relationships is the common denominator for success in any business. After studying successful entrepreneurs, Brian found that a flexible mindset, physical and nutritional health, and mastering various skill sets were the commonalities among them. He learned the importance of building personal relationships and found that the long-term relationships he built had both a professional and personal payoff. He passed along the importance of being honest and upfront in communication and of helping others, regardless of what one may get in return. Brian discovered that the key to success was in the relationships. In this episode, you will learn the following: 1. What are the three pillars of success shared by successful entrepreneurs? 2. How can building personal relationships be a successful marketing approach? 3. How can entrepreneurs reach out to potential customers in an effective way? From guessing, possibly sunny Los Angeles, but maybe not at the moment. It's sunny. Yes, wonderful. [00:00:08] Paul: In studying successful entrepreneurs, I found three pillars of success. One was the mindset. Another was taking care of themselves physically and nutritionally. Third was business multi multifaceted. All you need to do is find one recipe for success. [00:02:27] Flexibility, having the flexibility to shift one's mindset as quickly as possible from that negative emotion into something that better serves you. You can either let circumstances control your attitude or you can let your attitude dictate your circumstances. [00:03:42] Not every successful entrepreneur is a good mentor. You want somebody that you know internally, deeply my mentor. Be very discerning when you choose a mentor. [00:06:50] And you mentioned earlier you touched on values, and I think that's important. Is it that we find people who have similar values? Because otherwise, I've always said to people, if you compromise a value, that's like a kick in the gut every time. [00:07:30] What used to work ten years ago doesn't necessarily work now. With one exception, the common denominator that has worked every year is building personal relationships. Now we're at a point where speaking but on camera has also become a very good form of marketing. [00:09:02] What is working right now? And that means being on a live video show or a podcast. It's about showing up and getting exposure that way. That is the number one marketing approach I have seen and witnessed. [00:09:51] When I have a guest on my show, they're typically strategically picked that maybe and in the future I could do business with them. It's about getting to know them, period. If you go about it without the transactional attitude, in my own opinion, then you can build that deeper relationship. [00:14:44] The first thing when you talk to somebody, I forget the icebreaker. First, you need to do X-Y-Z. It's the message that is gold. The next step is to build that relationship. And it's through direct messaging. [00:17:36] Live video is a great way to get exposure for a real estate investor. It's a different dynamic with live. There isn't as much pressure to really bring great value live. Not everybody is going to like you, sorry to tell you. [00:21:25] When you're feeling that feeling, that kind of feeling right there, that fear is usually something telling you that it's what you should be doing. Start shooting shows right now. Know that you will probably suck in the beginning. But don't let any of this deter you. Every show you do, you get better. [00:24:30] Brian, when you go live, do you put that out to multiple at the same time? Live, yes. For me, the main goal is massive exposure. I focus everything I've got on my guest. [00:25:52] A high-quality professional live video show. I have a massive amount of automation built in. Most of that is for communicating with the guest leading up to the show. Then the post-show processing. I've come across three companies in the last six months that have all transformed how I'm producing my podcast. [00:30:37] Paul: I've done this show for a long time, my own show. He developed an agency model where you do it for them. All manually, zero automation. The only thing the person has to do is be present and focus on the guest. The results are phenomenal. [00:35:03] Some real estate investors do things like Zoom Webinars or even now we're coming out of the other side of the pandemic is doing live events again. Are you talking more about a kind of one on one studio interview type of setup or do all three? [00:37:10] Grant Cardone is a favorite personal brand because he is authentic as a human can be. Peak Connector is a CRM on steroids. Do you have a recommended book or podcast? [00:41:04] Brian Kelly: Do you have a favorite quote or a quote that inspires you or motivates you? The one thing I learned is this one thing and that is never ever giving up. How can people find out more about you? Lots of ways. [00:43:22] The Peak Club is free to join, with no monthly fee. The enterprise version includes 500-seat meetings, 500-seat webinars, and unlimited recording to the cloud. For anyone who enters, I added this too. You'll get a hotel discount card. [00:45:05] Carol Costello: If your son is looking to have a web presence, there's a company out of Oregon called Carrot. They write an SEO article for you every week. It's all geared towards cash, buying homes for cash. What about a real estate mentor? How can I help you? [00:49:07] As soon as I changed the name, audience numbers went up. That's something I've also heard about, is the importance of the name. There are other resources out there. It's not about the vanity number. [00:49:43] When you bring on a guest, as they're coming on, they get the option to choose amongst their own social media platforms. StreamYard has just eliminated a big headache. There's a new feature coming out, brother. You got to get on this live video thing.
