I found myself in multiple rehab centers and hospital admissions. My darkest moment came in February of 2019 when I faced the stark reality of a serious DUI, a moment that could have changed lives irreversibly. I was facing several severe charges and a possible 1-5-year state prison sentence. You would have thought I stopped there, but it took a little longer. During my last hospitalization, I felt like God had met me there. That is when I finally cried out to him for help.

I understand the significance of peer support; I had a peer who met me in the hospital and helped me start off on my recovery journey. It was a long road, though it did not happen overnight. I came back from rehab and attended 48 sessions of intensive outpatient sessions. I also began to rebuild my life, and I was remarried to my husband Tom, who has incredibly supported me. The unwavering love and support of my family have shaped my journey.

I have been blessed and experienced so much restoration that it feels so good So, I made a promise to God and myself to go back and help pull others out of the grips of addiction and walk with them. I since achieved my bachelor's degree in Addiction and Recovery Counseling, certification as a Certified Recovery Specialist, and Foundations of Mental Health Coaching certification through Light University. I am in the process of completing two other certifications through them.

My faith in God serves as the cornerstone of my sobriety, a steadfast anchor in the tumultuous sea of life.  

My mission is simple: to be the light in someone else's journey, guiding them toward a future defined not by their past but by the boundless potential of what lies ahead. Join me as we walk the path of recovery together, one step at a time, towards a brighter, sober tomorrow.

Carolyn Deck was born and raised in New Zealand. Taking the courage to conquer past

childhood pain, she used the secrets hidden in the dark crevasses of her life to overcome her

fears, disappointments, and hurts.

In her teens, she traveled as an international student, spending twelve months in Kansas, USA.

Upon her return, she embarked on a career in the travel industry, becoming an Area Manager in

Having spent twenty-five years away from her homeland, Carolyn is no stranger to change

With best friend, husband Brendan of thirty-two years, they have lived in Australia and America

Jesslyn McCutcheon is a member of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) NW Piedmont and the AACC (American Association of Christian Counseling). Through NAMI Jesslyn is a Certified National Helpline Specialist, Peer to Peer Mentor, and speaks for NAMI IOOV (In Our Own Voice) and NAMI FaithNet presentations. Through the AACC, Jesslyn is a board certified mental health coach. Since being diagnosed with bipolar 1 disorder 24 years ago, she actively advocates and speaks regarding mental illness. Her ministry, Fighting Goliath for Mental Illness helps people of any age, race, religion, or income who live with mental illness overcome the struggle and fear of not living a fulfilled life based upon biblical scripture, our own lived experience, and mental health resources. Jesslyn is currently in the process of writing her first book on her mental health journey and how her relationship with God gives her the armor she needs to stay on her feet and in recovery. Along with knowing how to take care of herself and recognizing the red flags. Tiffany Jones lost her mom January, 2022 to Ovarian Cancer. This is after losing her father to cancer a few years earlier. It was these losses that gave her the awareness that you "Can't say Someday Forever" with this realization, Tiffany decided that she was going to take Sean Swarner up on his offer to Climb Kilimanjaro to Kick Cancer's Butt!

Tiffany Jones is a 51 year old mom of 2 that climbed Kilimanjaro to kick Cancers Butt!

When her Go Fund me was funded by GrapeNuts it propelled her to get in gear and make the trek to Africa. Soon after she was diagnosed with breast cancer and determined to continue her journey she had surgery before she went and climbed to 15,000 feet of elevation in Tanzania.

At 15000 ft Tiffany fell and became hypoxic, she had to choose to go down the mountain. It was those 2 days that her team was still hiking that she Came down and connected with a small school in Moshi, Tanzania and is now creating mission trips to support the schools, teachers and community.

After returning from Africa, she has had a year through her cancer; Chemotherapy, Double Mastectomy, Radiation and is now in active recovery.

In honor of her parents, Tiffany has begun her Non Profit - PatchWorks Inc. that will be bringing people with her to support the Kili Hope Orphanage and Zara Charities.
