Welcome to a new series of Realising Your Potential.
Every week Anj speaks to inspiring women about their leadership journeys, the challenges they’ve faced and the lessons they’ve learnt. Together they explore what organisations can do to drive gender equality and how we can all realise our potential.
In the final episode of this series, Anj speaks with none other than June Sarpong OBE, a true trailblazer. June has had an amazing career: she's been one of the most recognisable faces on British television; she's written the award-winning books "Diversify," "The Power of Women," and "The Power of Privilege" (with a fourth book, "The Only One in the Room," coming out in Summer 2022); and she's hosted some historical events such as Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday, interviewed some of the world's biggest names, and worked extensively with Prince Charles as an ambassador for the Prince's Trust.
Today, Anj and June cover everything from affirmations to the pivotal moments that inspired June to write Diversify, as well as tons of practical advice on how to have better conversations about diversity and inclusion as an organisation, team, or individual.

In the penultimate episode, Anj speaks with Carys Batho, a HR advisor at Accolade Wines. Throughout this series, we’ve been privileged to speak with experienced women in leadership, but it's refreshing to get the perspective of someone who's just starting out in their career.
Carys worked as an intern while in her final year of university and has recently joined the Accolade team on a part-time basis as her studies wrap up.
In this episode both Anj and Carys take turns to ask each other questions and cover a range of topics from dealing with confidence, to making mistakes, gender pay gaps and the term ‘girl boss’.
