  • Episode 421: He's My Fucked Up Universe
This is the next song in the fucked up relationship album. Yeah, this is where it becomes apparent that this is a fucked up relationship instead of a regular relationship. Trigger Warning: this song may be triggering to people who've had sexual trauma happen to them in their lives. Man.

  • Episode 420: I Used To Make Fancy Sounds On My Guitar
This song, well, it's another where the hook came from a dream. Or maybe it was a reverie state - I don't really remember. Anyway, it's about how, when I listen to really old recordings, like from when I was in college and stuff, I realize I used to do a lot more fancy stuff on my guitar than I do now. Bleh.

  • Episode 417: I'm a Loser
I mean, I mean, some people in this world have to be losers cuz you can't have winners without losers. I think I might be a loser, but as the song sez, I don't feel sorry for myself about it. Yeah.

  • Episode 415: Engaged!
This is the next song in the Fucked Up Relationship Album. Yessiree, the main character finds out that, yes, indeed, her boyfriend had actually been proposing to her! When she said, "Sure," he assumed that she wanted to get engaged. Oh, no!The fucked up thing is - this is a true story! This happened to me 24 years ago. Crikey. Yeah, I figured, well, okay. I'm not ready to get engaged, but he's all excited: If I say, "No, wait, I didn't mean it," then he'll be all butt-hurt. So, I kept my not bein' ready to be engaged a secret. Dang, man, dang.

  • Episode 414: The Girl With The Silver Rings Cliffhanger #2
Y'know how last week's Fucked Up Relationship Album song was about the girl/narrator bein' in shock and getting ready to tell the listening audience stuff? Here's where she starts to say the stuff. Oh, my. The boyfriend sez, "Will you marry me?" And she's all, "Sure!" Y'know how couples talk about the future in terms of marriage? Y'know - like, "Someday, when we get married, we should get purple silverware?" That's what she thinks he's doing - just talkin' about the cool, distant future in which they're someday married. But then he gets all excited when she says, "Sure." She's like, "Wait, what?" Stay tuned for the next song to find out the outcome of all this!! Oh, my!

  • Episode 413: Alienation
I had a dream this morning that highlighted the feelings of alienation I've been having this week. That's what this song's about. It's a wee bit abstract.I've been considering doing a concept album of a strange sort. Y'know how Linkin Park has done albums in a number of different genres? And, like, how the most recent one was pop music? I've been wondering to myself: What would it sound like if Linkin Park did a country album? What would it sound like???????? Listening to this song a few nights ago, I wondered if it sounded like that very concept - the conglomeration of Linkin Park and country music. I mean, yeah, it sounds like that to me, but other people might think I'm deluded. Ha ha ha.

  • Episode 412: 30 Minutes Bass Noise
Many years ago, I was living in an apartment and had this next door neighbor that played music and TV incessantly, and the sound of the bass frequencies of those coming through the walls drove me nuts. So, I got my bass and my drums and made this - I guess you'd call it - sort of like white noise type of thing to block out the sound of neighbor's stereos and stuff. See, regular white noise machines don't cut it because you need something chunky sounding to block out those sounds. So, this is my li'l invention, which I call bass noise. I'm posting it cuz it's sort of an emergency. There's some asshole a little ways away from me who decided to play this horrific sounding bass-heavy crap music and it's driving me nuts. So I'm gonna take this bass noise and play it on my Bose Quiet Comfort earbuds, but I need it to be online for me to play it thru those. Feel free to download or play this if you want to block out assholes in your neighborhood. It works well on a free-standing speaker, as well, but you have to turn it up kinda loud if the neighbor noise is really loud. Bleh.
