  • Episode 247: This Is What He Looks Like - Alternative Version
Sorry for the multiple alternative versions of songs this week. That must be really annoying. But I was cleaning up my desk top and found the version of this song with the original verses in it. I had been annoyed by those original verses initially and went back and changed 'em. But I'm kinda wondering now if these verses are better than the new and improved ones. I'll let the listener decide.

  • Episode 246: It's Monday, Oh, Gosh
Yeah, the chorus of this song wasn't sitting with me well - it's not only because it sounds like another song sort of - it's also because it just didn't have that pizzazz that I look for in a song. So I re-did the chorus. Be wary if you're listening through headphones cuz it gets louder and louder as time goes by. This was a pain to mix.

  • Episode 245: It's Monday
My workday is starting a little later than usual, so I recorded a little ditty. My apologies to the Mamas and Papas - this song bears a bit of a resemblance to one of theirs. It's a song about it bein' Monday and not being in a good mood because of it.

  • Episode 244: Relative To The Time Changes
Yeah, this song sounds like ass, but I'll post it anyway. Maybe it'll grow on me. It's about being discombobulated by having to go from daylight savings time to standard time. Actually, I like standard time better, but it's still discombobulating.

  • Episode 243: This Is What He Looks Like
This is the next song in the possession album. It's from the point of view of Timmy, Bobby, and Father O'Malley; they're lookin' at the fire god and are amazed by how big and wonderful he looks. They're also worried about the girl because going from having him inside her to not having him inside her must be depressing.

  • Episode 242: I'm Translating Music Coming From Outer Space Tonight
This is a song about getting songs from dreams or getting songs when you're stoned. The cool thing about getting stoned is you get lots of creative ideas. But it impairs your short term memory, so that, when you're trying to write down your idea, you might forget what your idea was before you get done writing it down. Two nights ago, music was coming to me so fast that I couldn't write it down fast enough. It would just fly by and I barely just got a snippet of it. So, last night, I had my iPad next to my bed, so I could just record myself singing whatever tunes came to me. The tune and words that came became the hook of this song.

  • Episode 241: Relative To The Time Changes Demo Thingy
I dunno if I'll turn this into a regular-length song or not. But, just in time for the time change, I recorded this little ditty. I recorded it usin' my computer's mic because I was too lazy to get out my regular music recording equipment. That's why it's all echoey; it's cuz the computer heard the already-recorded tracks while it was recording new tracks.

  • Episode 240: Let's Stay - 2021 Version
I recorded a new version of this old song that I originally wrote in 2019. See, the original version has this sample in it, where you can probably tell where it came from if you heard the song it's from. Because of that, I wouldn't be able to put it on Spotify cuz it's not legal and all that. I guess I could find a way to get permission from the original people the sample is from, but they're all famous and shit and wouldn't want to talk to me. So this is my first attempt at re-recording this song so I can eventually put it on Spotify. Oh yeah, the picture of 2 guys in an earthquake is there cuz this song came to me in a dream about a week after I was in a really big earthquake.

  • Episode 239: I Was Him A Minute Ago
This is the next song in the possession album. The fire god is there, and the girl is going, whoah, because, like, this big flamey god used to be inside her. How'd he fit? Good question. I'm not sure.

  • Episode 238: Can We Ever Get It Done?
The hook of this song came from a dream. A few years back, there was a big project I wanted to start, but I was afraid it would suck when I did it. So, I spent all this time getting ready to start the project instead of just plain starting it. Every week, I'd say to myself, "I'm getting ready to start...I'm almost ready to start." It's like, I was getting ready to get ready to start the project. I did finally start it, but that was after months and months of getting ready to get ready to get ready to start it.
