  • Episode 105: It Survived
In this convoluted song, I'm discussing how, when I was a freshman in college, my hallmates, who were not my favorite people, had all these teddy bears and were always going on and on about their dumb teddy bears. So I wrote a bunch of poems about some bear getting killed all sorts of different ways, but then subsequently coming back to life. In the song, I realize, wait, I like bears! They're my friends!

  • Episode 104: Rough Demo of an Earthquake Song
This is a rough demo of an earthquake song that I might record the final version of either this or next weekend. My air conditioner turned on during it. My air conditioner wants to be a star. Poor little air conditioner - I dunno if bein' in my songs'll get you to be a star, but guess it's worth trying.

  • Episode 102: We're Worried
This is the next song in the possession album thingy - the girl is staring at the bears in the Valley of Bears, and the other characters assume they're communicating telepathically.
I'm gonna add the "explicit" tag thingy to this because it has the word, "stoned" in it. I dunno if "stoned" qualifies as explicit or not, so I'm playin' it safe-not-sorry, yesiree

  • Episode 100: Such a Beautiful Child
This is the next song in the possession series, but it could be a stand-alone song. Or, maybe it could be.
The bears that me, Timmy, Bobby, and Father O'Malley meet up with tell us that a part of my soul is with them - a little baby part.
See, in real life, I once went to a shamanic practitioner, who told me when I was just about to get eye surgery as a baby, part of my soul flew off and ended up hanging out in a cave with all these nice bears.
When the hook for this song came to me in a dream, I knew it was about that, so I thought yeah, let's make that part of the album. Weirdly, I was resistant to finishing and recording the song, so I made the first verse be about that resistance

  • Episode 99: Food Going Bad Inside My Refrigerator
This song continues the theme of comparing a relationship gone bad or a partner who is not a good match to food going bad in the refrigerator.
As a friend of mine once said, if a relationship goes bad and ends in a break up, gettin' back together with that person would be the same as discovering milk in the fridge is sour and pulling it out later to see if it's gotten good again.

  • Episode 98: It Has To Be That
This is the next song in the possession series. The me-character decides she has to go with the fire god when he goes away to the sun, even knowing she might burn up in the process. It's a generally co-dependency-themed song.

  • Episode 97: Never See You Again
This is a song about a break-up. It uses going to Mars as an analogy or a metaphor for the whole breaking up/separation process. If you're never gonna see your ex-lover again, they might as well be on Mars. I also use the metaphor of rotting food in the fridge. Rather than eating that rotting food, a better option is to shoot it out into space, where the sub-zero temperatures out there would preserve the food.

  • Episode 96: ARrrghghghg, Same Bombs Song but a different mix
The rap was wayyyy too loud in the mix when I posted this here song yesterday, so I'm a-posting it again. But I'm also leaving the old mix there, too, because the rap is easier to understand in the old mix cuz it's so dang loud. This is it, I promise; no more postings of this gosh darn song after this! Bleh.
This song has pot in it, but that's okay because it's legal here in California.
