It's been a while, and I needed a break from the show. I'm grateful to be back today at the start of 2021. In this episode, I do cover the FAFSA tracker but there's more to the episode than just data plus what to expect from the fall. I hope you find it beneficial. Please don't forget to subscribe and leave me a review.

Today’s episode, I got away from the office and out in the elements into the Solution. There are so many topics pressing higher ed institutions, and before we can explore, we must address the first steps. Just give me a few minutes of your day. By the end of today’s episode, I want you to feel pulled. Ready?

Beth Davisson is the Founding Executive Director of the Kentucky Chamber Workforce Center. Beth joined the Chamber in 2017 to begin building the Workforce Center as its only fully dedicated employee. Since then, the center has grown to a team of nine and continues to expand its support to employers and efforts in building a stronger workforce. In today’s episode, Beth and I have a solution-driven discussion around business and educational partnerships. Post-Secondary and business leadership teams, we have a great opportunity to invest in educating the workforce to meet the demand while improving the lives of citizens. Thank you, Beth Davisson, and the great team at the Kentucky Chamber Workforce Center for your resilient dedication and leadership.

The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) annual conference was held in Louisville, KY this last September 2019. During the annual conference, NACAC leadership supported removing three provisions in its code of ethics in hopes of avoiding potential litigation from the Department of Justice.
It's to early to see the full impact, but let's begin the discussion.

In my best Prince Voice "Tonight we're going to PLAN like it 20...25". Change is inevitable, it happens because it happens. What we do about it is what separates us. Fewer students and increased competition is a recipe for disaster if we don't prepare.

Mark Jamnik is with the Education Division of Colling Media. He made thousands of calls to Marketing Directors of Colleges/Universities, and Certification schools to discover their primary challenges. Those challenges fall inside at least one of these categories 1. driving student leads, 2. nurturing leads to enrollments, and/or 3. converting leads to starts. The Colling Media team developed an Education Marketing System helping Education Marketing Directors solve these 3 challenges driving more cost effective budget decisions.
We spoke about some tools on the show today with Mark. These tools are pathways that you can begin utilizing on your campus with your teams immediately. Check them out today!

Many entering higher education positions in world of admissions have a passion for growth. Listen to the path Jorge has taken. Along the way he’s assisted others while also growing into new roles within higher education. I appreciated this very insightful conversation with a great professional and leader.
