Why are average Japanese school kids being thrown through inter-dimensional portals? Why are average Japanese citizens being forced to battle in an all out death match? Why are average Japanese delinquents playing 5D chess? Why are average English words given a new linguistic heritage? Why are none of these people actually average??? Join us on another not-so-average week as we may or may not provide answers for questions that may or may not be of actual importance to the shows on this week's episode of... Almost every single show spends the majority in a flash back as we learn of a troubled child, a murder, an origin story, and some school bullies! And what happened in the other show? Sprinkle in a little bit of immortality and we'll call it a day! Who had the saddest backstory? What's really going on in this alternate dimension? And most importantly, can Takemichi talk his way out of this one? Find out on this week's episode of... RE:CASTERS ANIME PODCAST!!!

With two great shows and Joran having wrapped up last week, Tokyo Revengers and To Your Eternity are the lone survivors! And yet even with just two, these shows still manage to make it a great week! Gugu's adventures are going strong, and very shirtless, while Takemichi has reached the scripted bad end! where could we possibly go from here?! Is Gugu actually a Yoshi?! And how many explosions can Takemichi tank to the face?! Find out on this weeks episode of... RE:CASTERS ANIME PODCAST!!!

Tokyo Revengers: Episode 12 - 23:41 To Your Eternity: Episode 11 - 37:55

In this weeks episode the gang slips back into reality as we are finally able to record together in person in the first time in over a year! Well except for that one time but still. But while things are going great for us, things have been taking a nose dive for some! A robot that refuses to sing, metal that snaps like paper, a hand that also snaps like paper, and the potential death of everyone's favorite robo-dog-friend! At least there's mask buddies to make us feel a little better after everything else kicked us directly in our emotions. Which shows do the stabbing, and which shows get stabbed? Join us as we learn that glass is actually the most powerful weapon in existence, and discuss the logistics of exactly how many people you can kill with said glass! Robot uprising? Glass. Fascist society? Glass. Gang war? Glass. And yes, even escaping from a secret underground facility. Who was the glass master? And exactly how many people were murdered? Sound design is key this week as we discuss how much good sound design improves a show! It's also important because we literally can't hear Chip at all! Maybe that's because he's not here... Some characters stay at the top as we discuss how great they are, while other characters plummet to the bottom when we learn how bad their motivation is. One show even teaches a little bit of Japanese! Who's at the top of their game? Who becomes the most forgettable? And above all else, where is Chip? Find out all these things and more on this weeks... RE:CASTERS ANIME PODCAST!!!

It's the end of the world as we know it! Vivy has an arc that lasts longer than 3 episodes, To Your Eternity ended its second arc, and Tokyo Revengers... well Tokyo Revengers didn't change anything. But it's still great! 86 continues to wow us with some amazing transitions, and Joran! Maybe it's good, maybe it's bad, who knows? We do, that's who! And what do we think?
