“Your name is just too much!!” Have you ever heard this during your immigration journey? 

I had the amazing opportunity to discover how my guest was able to reclaim her name and own her culture and background.

Yeri also shared how her parents moved to the USA 30 years ago, leaving behind a life full of privilege back in Mexico and arriving to a refugee camp for labor workers in the USA. 

We also chatted about her experience joining the Air Force, her current work with Skills Connections (http://www.skillsconnection.org)  and teaching at a community college for the citizenship test, helping immigrants in their naturalization process!
