What happens when you travel alone, your holiday plans suddenly change, and you start wondering whether €3,000 is better spent on a driving license or a holiday?
Red Eye and Erratic Asthmatic get into all of it.
The conversation starts with Erratic trying to reorganize a complicated trip after plans change and the realization that planning a holiday is already annoying enough without having to do it twice.
That leads into the joys of travelling alone: no schedules, no arguing over restaurants, no waiting for someone who doesn't want to go somewhere, and absolutely nobody stopping you from booking a table for three when it's just you, yourself and I.
The guys also debate whether the best way to plan a trip is simply to find the food first and build everything else around it.
Then comes the €3,000 question.
Should you spend thousands getting a Dutch driving license, or take the money and disappear somewhere for a week instead?
From the cost of driving lessons and exams to public transport, car insurance, road tax and parking, the guys try to work out whether owning a car actually makes sense in the Netherlands.
And naturally, the conversation ends up exactly where you'd expect: Dutch bikes.
Shark teeth. Right of way. Crosswalks that apparently function more like suggestions. And the shocking revelation that Erratic hasn't ridden a bicycle in years despite living in the Netherlands.
It's another episode full of travel problems, first-world problems, bad financial decisions, Dutch road survival and plenty of shenanigans.

We take scenarios and our purpose this time is to provide the worst actions to take. Although we wouldn't do this in actuality, we might actually be on to something for some of these situations.

Our summer shenanigans go on!
This week on Red Eye & Erratic Asthmatic, we catch up after another Amsterdam adventure. We talk about surviving the Dutch heat, the strange news about water shortages in a country surrounded by water, and how AI somehow gets blamed for everything.
We also head into Amsterdam to watch Ralph Barbosa's live comedy show, break down his crowd work, and talk about why European audiences react so differently from American crowds.
Before the show, we discover Green Farmers, a fully vegan fast food restaurant that completely surprised us. Vegan fish that smells like fish. Vegan chicken that tastes like real chicken. Burgers, fries, sauces and whether this might actually be one of the best vegan fast food spots we've tried in the Netherlands.
We also get into overpriced tacos, Dutch public transport frustrations, upcoming food adventures, Vegan Pizza Bar, Kenyan food, travel stories, and the random conversations that somehow always happen when Red Eye and Erratic Asthmatic sit behind a microphone.
If you enjoy comedy podcasts, food reviews, Amsterdam stories, random conversations, travel experiences, vegan food, stand up comedy and two friends talking absolute nonsense, this episode is for you.

Packed with banter, relatable scenarios, and unpredictable callouts, tune in to see whether the hosts agree on their answers—or completely expose each other along the way.
