MotoGP went down under! Down a couple world champions, but that just gave room for Aprilia's Raul Fernandez to shine and get his maiden victory. Fabio Di Giannantonio rescued Ducati's hopes and Marco Bezzecchi followed a sprint win with a third place on the podium. In Moto2, home hero Senna Agius ran away with it as the title battle heated up. Joel Kelso tried to do the same in Moto3 but ended up loosing to the perilous Jose Antonio Rueda.

MotoGP had it's inaugural race at Balaton Park! The Hungarian circuit left some of the pod members disappointed and others waiting for more. But there was action in the lower classes, as Moto3 gave a last-corner battle for the win and in Moto2, David Alonso took the first step in a brilliant fashion for the first time.
