  • Red Velvet Media Talks to Alonzo Anderson and we talk about Stepsisters the Movie!
Written and produced by Alonzo Anderson of Macon, GA.
We will be talking to Alonzo and a few cast members of the film and there thoughts on the Movie!
StepSisters* chronicles the lives of female best friends as they move to a new
phase in their lives while trying to hold on to their friendship amidst the temptations and traditions that await
them at a prestigious fictional historical black college. Utilizing the popular and long-established art form of
stepping and sororities as the backdrop StepSisters* portrays themes of friendships, betrayal, redemption, racial
loyalty and sisterhood with a contemporary twist.
Written and produced by Alonzo Anderson of Macon, GA StepSisters* explores the mores and practices of
African American colleges and Greek organizations versus the non-traditional non African-Americans
maneuvering in that world. Penned by Anderson in 2008, this film comes at an opportune time to highlight
the division that can occur between the sisterhood, evidenced by the recent controversial win of the Sprite Step
Off by the Zeta Tau Alpha, an all white step team from the University of Arkansas. Additionally, the film will
explore campus life and romantic relationships between the races. This film will make you understand the
divisions but root for its healing

  • Johnny Depp's Disguised Call-in to Xany Rudolff
Join Red Velvet Media as we talk to Artist Xany Rudolff!
Xany Rudoff is a Los Angeles-based artist who works primarily as a painter, but has dabbled in acting, interior design and wardrobe styling. Born in Pasadena to an artist mother and art historian father, Rudoff moved with her family to the desert expanse of Apple Valley, CA, a site that would be crucial for her artistic development. In the wide, empty nothingness of the desert landscape, there were no limitations to Rudoff’s imagining, and upon returning to Los Angeles proper to get her B.A. in fine arts at the University of California, Los Angeles, she was able to see the city and the art world from the outside. Rudoff has previously participated in and organized group and benefit shows of her art and will be showing her most recent work, the Icon Series — which transforms vintage record albums and rock icons with the techniques used in Renaissance icon paintings — in a solo show this summer. She has been featured in the New York Times Magazine, Los Angeles magazine and Vanity Fair. Xany Rudoff's most notable collectors include: Benicio Del Toro, Pink, Alan McGee (Creation Records co-founder)

  • Red Velvet Media talks to City Winery in NYC NYC Hot Spots
Join Red velvet Media as we talk to City winery
Shlomo Lipetz he lives and breathes for music and works hard to bring interesting, diverse and exceptional talent to City Winery's stage.
City Winery is the brainchild of Michael Dorf, founder of the iconic Knitting Factory, who wanted to create a space in Manhattan where he could combine his shared passions for wine and music.
After making his first barrel of wine in California with his brother Josh and wine maker David Tate, formally of Ridge Winery and now at Barnett Vineyards, Michael caught the bug: "For a long time I'd been enjoying wine as a fan-drinking it, taking classes, attending wine dinners-but it was not until I actually started participating in the process of working with the grape, turning it into wine, putting it into a bottle, and watching it develop over time, that I really started to understand wine. It was this experience that led Michael to conceptualize and start working on the City Winery business plan in 2006.
The core target audience of City Winery-urban wine enthusiasts who desire the experience of making their own wine, but who are not going to leave their comfortable Manhattan lifestyle to decamp to a vineyard-immediately became clear. Beyond making wine, Michael also wanted to focus on the enjoyment and satisfaction that comes from sharing wine with friends, and to capture the unique social bond that occurs when communities of like-minded people gather over a bottle of quality Cabernet, while dining on a freshly-prepared meal and listening to their favorite artists perform.
That is what City Winery is about community, creativity and culture. A vibrant, interactive space in New York where folks can not only make wine, but also meet friends new and old while indulging their passion for quality food, music, art and life. To all who enter, L'Chaim.
