Born and raised in the East New York section of Brooklyn, New York, Derrick Turner became akin to the cultural explosion of Hip Hop at an early age.

Formally introduced to its cultural collage of offerings by his older brother, it was an intimate relationship that he held and continues to hold in a high regard to this day.

Thusly, the idea for the Chronicles of a Hip Hop Legend story was spawned from this very regard, as well as, his desire to expose his beloved Hip Hop to the magical landscape of fictional fantasy.

The first installment of the Chronicles of a Hip Hop Legend story, entitled “Paths of Grand Wizardry,” is sure to vividly detail a magical, action-packed, offering from the perspective of a young, B-Boy.

Alec Loorz is one of the leading voices in the US on the issue of climate change, calling the "ruling generation" to consider the needs of his and future generations in their actions. Now 15 years old and a sophomore in high school in Ventura CA, Alec has been a climate change activist for 3 years and spoken to over 20,000 people and given over 100 presentations and keynotes throughout the country. A passionate advocate for the youngest and future generations who will be affected most by decisions made this year, Alec inspires youth to get involved in bringing about change in their families, their schools and their communities. Currently the youngest trained presenter of Al Gore's Inconvenient Truth presentation, Alec founded his own non-profit called Kids vs Global Warming when he was 13. Their mission is to inspire youth to lead the way to a sustainable and just society.

Water articles and poetry published in regional; national, and international publications, including 5 articles in the Water Encyclopedia published by John Wiley & Sons.
