As we continue our series in 2 Timothy, we come to 2 Timothy 2:8-13 where we are reminded to remember Jesus, who He is, and what He has done for you. Jesus and His power are everything. And the act of remembering is to call ourselves to see who we are as defined by Jesus, because that changes everything.

As we think about how to be faithful to the Gospel God has entrusted to us, there are 4 imperatives we see from 2 Timothy: entrust the Gospel, share in the Gospel, think of the Gospel, & be strengthened in the Gospel.

Eternal confidence in Christ breeds present confidence in Christ, in His Gospel, and His mission. We must not be ashamed of the Gospel. The question to wrestle with is this - where are we prone to shrink back in our confidence in Jesus?

From 2 Timothy 1:1-7, we discover that gospel power and personal connections work together to build the kingdom of God. If we believe and see this truth as reality, we will stop seeing people as ministerial projects and we will change the way we view the fellowship of the Church.

We begin a new sermon series in the book of 2 Timothy. This letter, written by Paul to Timothy, helps us answer three key questions: 1) How can I benefit from a personal letter between two people? 2) How can I benefit from a letter from a pastor to a pastor about pastoring a church? and 3) How can I benefit from a letter about enduring persecution for the cause of Christ? As we will discover, the book of 2 Timothy is an invitation to run to Jesus.

We wrap up our series entitled "The Foundation" as we look at 5 practical ways that we can build our lives upon Jesus Christ.

Does Jesus know you, and do you know Jesus? Where is your foundation and to whom are you clinging?

To what kingdom do you yield your ultimate allegiance? Could it be that the biggest hindrance to the kingdom of God is us? This is the fourth cornerstone in our sermon series entitled, The Foundation.

This is the third corner of our foundation of being the Church. What does it mean to live by the Spirit? Do we allow both the Bible and the Spirit to shape and guide our life?
