An introductory sermon to our series form the book of Hebrews, Out of the Shadows.

He is risen, indeed! Jesus Christ is the son of God who came, lived, died and rose again and He is alive! The fact that He is alive means that sin is forgiven, death is defeated and there is hope today and forever for those that follow Him. We hope you believe this truth today.

The blessings of God flow through the son of God at great cost to God. The work of God’s mission is being accomplished through Jesus’ death, Jesus’ suffering, and God’s wrath because of our sin. But it’s not a mistake that God has to make up for. It’s exactly how God intends to accomplish salvation for His people.

What do we do with this event, the Passover? Exodus 12 shows us six things we can learn from God's deliverance of Israel from the story of the Passover. These six things are essential threads that run all throughout the Bible.

If we as Christians are properly aligned with our Lord who is a missionary God, then we will have a life of purpose, a life of joy, and a life filled with glory. Each of us, wherever we are in life and in what we do, we should be involved in the work of our missionary God. We should all be on mission and the Church being mission-oriented.

God’s glory is shown most fully in Christ, and we get to see this glory in life through evangelism & missions.

Our first step into mission is an invitation to joy. Will we find the joy that God finds when He pursues, redeems, and restores people to Himself? There is greater joy in the things that bring God joy.

A life of missions is a life living out God's purpose for this age to reconcile people from every tribe, tongue, nation and people. How are you living a life of purpose?
