As we continue to work through this picture of the millennial reign of Christ and the potentially confusing picture of the 1st and 2nd resurrection, we come to see how the Gospels and the writings of Paul help us to understand the vision in light of the rest of Scripture and the book of Revelation.

We come now to the much debated 20th chapter. In this sermon we explore some of the differences between the three main views of end times and seek to answer the question, “what is the millennium” and “what is meant by the binding and release of Satan?”

As we come to the final chapters of Revelation, we once again get a picture of final judgment. But this picture is especially vivid and also display Christ’s victory over the beast and the false prophet and all those who follow after them.

In this sermon we get an amazing look at the coming King of Glory. Christ in all of his glorified power and beauty comes riding on the white horse, ready to deliver his bride and conquer his enemies!

As the scenes changes once again and continues to unfold, we begin to get a glimpse of Christ coming upon the White Horse. But we also hear a rebuke from the angel as he reminds John to Worship God alone.

Though the earth laments the fall of Babylon, the citizens of heaven rejoice for God’s perfect justice and righteousness is displayed for all to see. Furthermore, the praise of heaven gives way to the processional of the marriage of the Lamb and His bride who has made herself ready!

As Babylon is brought to ashes, we see the response of the rulers and the merchants of the earth who have grown rich by her seducing. And in the midst of the lament, we also hear a call for the saints to rejoice for God’s justice has been vindicated!

Previously we saw the Harlot of Babylon exposed and this week we see the full judgement of Babylon the Great as God reduces her to nothing and pays her back for her abominations and immorality.

Pastor Rory St. John of Coram Deo joined us today and speak to us regarding the fact that while we cannot know God fully, we can know Him truly and challenged us to continually grow in the knowledge of God.

Though we see God’s patience and grace extend to all of humanity in many ways, we see in our text this Lord’s Day that God’s patience and offer of grace to rebellious humanity will one day give way to the full measure of His wrath and judgement.
