While the Word of God is precious and delightful to the believer, it also brings the bitter result of conflict and even persecution at times. We see this reality illustrated for John in a similar way it was for Ezekiel and also for Jerimiah.

In this sermon we look at the 5th and 6th trumpets found in Revelation 9. In this highly symbolic section we get a glimpse of the horror and terror of demonic forces that are unleashed against those who refuse to repent of their sins and believe upon the Lamb who was slain.

In this sermon we look at the first four trumpets that are blown by the seven angles. We see how God employs warning judgments upon the earth, demonstrating that He is holy and just and will certainly not let the wicked go unpunished.

In our study of the 7 benefits which Christ has won for us we see the final promise of every tear being wiped from our eyes. While it is hard for us to fully comprehend such a time when tears are no more, Christ has worked this blessing for His people!

As we consider the many metaphors that can be used to describe Christ, the image of a shepherd is among the most precious and beautiful. As we continue to examine the benefits which Christ has come to accomplish for his people, we come to this unique and often over looked promise of there being no more scorching heat or sun to beat down upon the people of God.

While we certainly enjoy many benefits which Christ has purchased for us, there are still things to be revealed at the glorification of all things. And in this vision that John describes he sees a day when hunger and thirst will pass away.

As we continue to look at the 6th seal we see another picture of God’s Redeemed. Previously represented as a symbolic number and now like the stars in the night sky, a number to great to count!

As we continue to look at the opening of the sixth seal, we see now the sealing of the 144,000. While there are many interpretations on this passage of Scripture, in light of Scripture it becomes apparent that this is an amazing picture of God’s redeemed, seal by the Spirit to the glory of Christ!

This is the second sermon looking at the fifth seal of the scroll opened. And in this sermon we seek to unpack the prayer of the martyrs for vindication and also the answer of the white robes and the instruction to wait a while longer.
