This is the second part of our study of Christ’s letter to the church at Thyatira. Christ not only exposes the error of this church but he warns of coming judgement if they refuse to repent. Jesus also gives encouragement to the faithful who have not compromised the gospel and their purity.

In letter we see the response of Christ to the tolerant church. He declares His attributes and commends them for the good they are doing, but also exposes their unwillingness to confront sin and false teaching. This is part one of two sermons on this letter to the church to Thyatira.

In this sermon we look at Christ’s letter to the church at Pergamum, which is the third of the seven churches. While Christ does commend the faithful at Pergamum, he also warns the compromising and gives hope to the conqueror.

As those living in North America the letter to the church at Smyrna is shocking, for Christ looks at the poorest and most persecuted church and calls them rich! In this sermon we look at suffering in light of the Scriptures teaching and also how to persevere through trials by the strength God supplies.

The first of the seven letters is to the church at Ephesus. While the defended the faith and walked in outward obedience, they are rebuked and warned that they have left their first love and need to repent.

In this sermon we look at the first of John’s visions. Looking first at the situation in which John wrote the Revelation and also the first parts of his first vision.

In this sermon we embark on a new journey through the Revelation of Jesus Christ which was revealed to John the apostle. It is a book meant to reveal and to encourage the saints as the stand as conquerors in Christ.

As we come to these final verses in the book of Hebrews, we find one of the most beautiful benedictions in the Scripture. Ascribe the title of “God of Peace” and Christ as “the great Shepherd of the sheep” and giving us insight into the gospel of God.

As followers of Jesus Christ we no longer have to go through the temple worship of the Old Testament, but now we have an alter who is Christ himself and we do not shrink back from the reproach he bore, but go to him outside the camp and seek that city that is to come.
