Pastor Jason points out that every passage of Scripture points to or reflects Jesus. Jesus is the Father of Eternity. God, the Father, seeks our love - like a father, and the lengths to which He will pursue us or forgive us for our sins. God is compassionate and merciful with His followers, and we never have to question if God loves us.

We must not become so consumed with our day-to-day worries that we lose sight of Him.

Pastor Jason teaches how the prophet Isaiah described the coming of Jesus Christ, and four ways that Jesus will be described by the world. The first of these, Jesus will be a wonderful counselor to us all. A counselor is someone who imparts wisdom, helps you see your blind spots, and gives you tools to work through your issues. This is what Jesus offers to each of us - available 24 / 7 / 365. If we accept Him, we will be forgiven for our sins and will find love, hope and joy through the Spirit He brings into our lives. During this Christmas season, let us be thankful for what Jesus has done. Let us not be too caught up in what we still need, or we will lose sight of how blessed we are.

Redemption Bible Church continues its look at the prophet Nahum, led by Pastor Jason Mayhall. The sermon series is entitled "Prophetic Voices," in which Pastor Jason teaches how Nahum shared a message for those who are being oppressed. The power of those who do not follow God is nothing compared to God's strength. Our God is a loving God, but he wants devotion, loyalty and obedience in return. Those who stray from God; those who do not follow Him will be judged as God judged the Assyrians. We must confess our sins and be accountable to Him, or our future destruction is assured. It is through Jesus that we can find salvation.

Pastor Jason Mayhall leads Redemption Bible Church in a sermon series entitled "Prophetic Voices," a look at the prophet Nahum and how his teachings can still guide us today. Nahum tells us to have faith. God sees us, and His grace is supreme; but so is His justice and wrath. We see Him promise the nation of Judah that He will destroy Nineveh and the evil Assyrians, who have failed to follow the warnings provided by Jonah over a century prior. Nahum shares that God's patience in the face of sin is not infinite and that our human strength is no match for God's strength. We also see from this story that God can use suffering to disciple us but that He will defend His people; those that truly believe and follow Him. God always keeps His promises.

Redemption Bible Church begins a new sermon series entitled "Prophetic Voices," a look at the prophet Nahum. Pastor Jason Mayhall teaches how prophets tell us of the incentives of being obedient to God. The book of Nahum picks up where Jonah left off, and we see how Nineveh has not become a pillar of God's community but has continued to challenge God. God tells Nahum that it is time for God's wrath, but also that God's comfort is on the way to His people. We should see in this that God will fix injustice, but the story also states that He is slow to anger. His wrath will always be shown in His timing. We should not doubt that God sees us and knows what we are going through, and He will fix the injustice seen in our lives, but we must be patient and obedient.

The series "SOLA" is concluded this week with the fifth and final Sola, led by David Northup - one of the elders of Redemption Bible Church. David describes how it is through God's glory alone that all things happen. We must orient our lives toward God as the center of our faith and ignore those that might lead us astray. We must remember that it is only through God that sin can be forgiven. We talk about living a life centered on God's glory at home, at work, and at play.
