Last week, in week 1 of our Man Up! series, we worked through 1 Chronicles 11:1-9. We learned what it means to Man Up and that the world needs strong men. We covered what strong men do and three principles they can follow to Man Up. We pick our story back up in 1 Chronicles 11:10 —David’s Mighty Men. This week, we’ll pull two more vital principles from verses 10-14 on how and why strong men stand.Website:www.experienceredemption.comFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/experienceredemptionInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/experienceredemption
Today we kicked off our new series, “Man Up”. To Man Up is to do the difficult work of fulfilling your God-given responsibilities of personal holiness, discipline, and family and community leadership while maintaining a devoted heart before the Lord. It’s personal, familial, and communal. Over this series, we will study 1 Chronicles 11, which tells the story of David’s mighty men. We’ll pull out some Man Up moments and points as we go.Website:www.experienceredemption.comFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/experienceredemptionInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/experienceredemption

We pick up here where we left off discussing becoming partners
in the Gospel. Last week we were reminded of what a partner is
and what a partner does and that partners are partners through
thick and thin, in the good and bad. This week we focus on how
growing both our individual and corporate ministries, as
partners, requires humility and surrender.
We pick up our discussion with Jesus' words in Matthew 8 as we
look deeper at what it means to grow as partners in the Gospel.

Jesus had one strategy for changing the world —His church. People mutually in love with and following Jesus who partner together to grow and spread the Gospel. The church isn’t a social club, a business, or a typical non-profit organization. God’s church is the body of Christ. God calls us to community and to work together to accomplish His purposes. This week we dig in to what Gospel partnership is, what it isn’t, and how we walk it out…together.Website:www.experienceredemption.comFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/experienceredemptionInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/experienceredemption
In the final week of our Deployed series, we finish 1 Samuel 17 with verses 48-58. We’ll see David confidently charge into battle to meet and ultimately defeat Goliath. David provides one of the most striking examples of overcoming seemingly insurmountable odds through faith and reliance on God. We’ll dig into his experience and uncover the final six deployment principles to see how following David’s example can help us defeat the enemy, too.Website:www.experienceredemption.comFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/experienceredemptionInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/experienceredemption
Week 3 of our Deployed series picks up in 1 Samuel 17:31. Here, the focus is David's courageous response to the Philistine giant, Goliath — despite being significantly smaller and less equipped. As we work to become Dangerous Friends, it’s vital that we understand, like David, how to stir up the boldness to show up for the battles God calls us to.
This week, we walk through 4 more deployment principles to see how we can follow David’s example of unlikely courage. Over andover again in Scripture, God pours out His Spirit and uses those who are willing to be obedient, brave, and willing to go first.

Last week, we looked at 8 ways to identify and deal with the enemy. Now, we pick up in 1 Samuel 17:12 to see that David had returned to the fields. He humbly returned to serving as an errand boy while his three oldest brothers had accompanied the King to the battlefield. In week 2 of our series, Deployed, we continue to learn how to become dangerous friends as we learn five deployment principles from David’s story. Unlike the Israelites (and David’s brothers), who were cowering in fear, David submitted to God —faithfully serving both his father and the King. He devoted himself to the Lord — allowing God to prepare (develop) and lead (deploy) him.
