We, and the people around us, are all experiencing different things at different times. We may come together in community and someone is dealing with some hard stuff while someone else just got great news. How do we walk alongside one another in the midst of this varied news?

Our desire is to see RHC be a place where everyone will feel connected and part of a family. We looked at Hebrews 10:19-25 and the call in that passage to do life together by following Jesus together.

In this text we see another dramatic display of Jesus’ power. Luke has worked to show that Jesus is Lord over creation in calming the storm. He is also Lord over all powers as we saw last week in casting out demons. This week we see that Jesus is Lord over sickness and death.

This is a well-known story of Jesus calming the wind and the waves as a storm caught him and his disciples in the middle of the Sea of Galilee. In this text we can get a glimpse of God’s work in the storms we experience in our lives, and see how we can respond to Jesus.
