Do you have hopes and dreams for your life that feel like they will never come to pass? Have you started to give up on them?
We have all been there, but it is somewhere we must not stay. This will give you the boost you need to get back on track and make your plans come to life!
We only get one life on this earth and it is vital that each of us picks back up our hope and chooses to believe in the possibilities of the things to come. Truth is, simply because things haven’t gone our way doesn’t mean they will never happen. What can you do today that will show the world (and yourself) that you do believe in your future and the dreams you have inside of you will come out!

Are you in a dark season of life? Do you feel like you are just suffering through it?
I don’t want you to think there is NO point to your suffering, in fact, our suffering can bring so many opportunities to our life!
There are amazing things we can discover during these times.
This is a great time to find clarity in your life. Who are you and what do you believe? Because if you are like me, it is easy to start doubting the things we thought we “knew” when life was easy!
The second thing that is great about our times of suffering is that it is the PERFECT time to master what we have control of and what we don’t. The key here is to own what we can control, but learn to surrender what we can’t. (Trust me, as a recovering control freak I understand how hard surrender is.)
Lastly, our difficult seasons of life are a great time to find confidence! Why would I say that? Well, true confidence is not determined by outward validation. True confidence is being convinced of things for ourselves and not needing anyone or anything to tell us we are enough. So you see, suffering is the perfect time to find our inner strength and be proud of our perseverance in life.
If you are in a time of suffering this podcast is the PERFECT encouragement for you! Don’t forget, what you do during this time is important and will impact your future greatly.
Have a great day!

Letting go and surrendering doesn't always feel natural. As Christians, the art of letting go is a skill we all need.
How many times in your life have you felt like God has asked you to do something and then all of sudden, maybe even before you feel like you are finished doing what He asked of you, He asks you to shift into a different direction? That gets confusing quickly!
I am a person who likes the feeling of having control, but I have learned as I have grown that the feeling of control doesn't really align with living a life of surrendering to God's plan.
Are you living a life of surrender?

Are you moving forward?
It's one thing for God to ask us to be obedient to Him when it is something we do in private, like reading our bible. It's another thing when God asks us to do something that we are confused about, don't know what we are doing and to make those mistakes and figure it out in front of other people.
This week, I open up about a journey that God is calling me on and what I have been learning throughout this confusing process.
We don't have to move forward with God. We can stay right where we are comfortable, but I sure hope we choose to step into the life God has for us, because I know He has good things for us.

This week, I had a conversation with one of my kids about failure. It was clear to me that my child was being so hard on themselves. They were trying to be perfect and wish to never make mistakes. I explained to my kid, it's ok to make mistakes. Then, I realized something...
Why do we not give ourselves this same amount of grace and understanding?
Even as adults, we hold onto our expectations so tightly that we are almost setting ourselves up for disappointment. We were never created to be perfect. We were created to be willing and real.

Today, I share some of my own discouragement when it comes to waiting on God.
You know when things feel so clear, like you know exactly what God is asking you to do, but once things get started, it is nothing like what you expected? It can feel like God is literally making it as hard as possible for you to follow through and remain obedient to the plan. Like why can't we just make this easier...ok God? lol
Waiting can feel like failing. It is hard, uncomfortable, confusing and generally is not what we had expected, but sometimes, waiting is part of His plan.

I like to call it The Potato Chip Effect. Yep, it's named after the potato chip. You might wonder what the heck I'm talking about...so let me explain myself. When we yearn for something, we finally get it and then we want just one more (like eating a bag of potato chips). See what I did there?
How do we discern between our desires that will bring us fulfillment versus the ones that just leave us asking for more? Listen for hard specifics on ways to recognize what will and will not bring you fulfillment in your life as a Christian Woman.

Why do we have a Christian culture of hiding? Hide our problems. Hide our insecurities. Hide our struggles. If I hide these things, I will look like a perfect Christian right?.....This is NOT where we want to be as Christians.
Let's be the Christians who shift this dynamic. If we are in hiding, we will never be on the adventure that God created us for. Imagine hiding who you are for the next five years and then looking back only to wonder how your life became such a mess.
God already knows your struggles. There is no such thing as a perfect Christian. Let's stop with trying to achieve the "Christian look" of life and actually live a true Christian life with faults, problems and mistakes. A life where we seek healing and God through the struggle.

Have you been listening? Have you had these ideas come to you, but you ignored them? Do you wake up feeling like you aren't fulfilled?
I'm telling you, these ideas and feelings you have on your heart are God calling on you! He has plans for you. You were absolutely put here for a reason and God is inviting you to get on board.
Don't fall for this "perfect Christian," image, where we look nice going to church and our life is perfect and we make all the right choices. No. Walking with God is messy! Let's get real honest with ourselves, listen to God and hear what He is inviting us to do with Him.
