29 years ago on March 31, 1995, Yolanda Saldivar murdered Selena Quintanilla-Perez at a Days Inn motel in Texas. The murder shocked the world and became a collective grieving moment for the latino community and the music industry as a whole. In one year, Yolanda, who is serving a life sentence with the possibility of parole, on March 31, 2025 (30 years to the day after the crime was committed) she will be up for parole. On today's episode we revisit the details of this murder, the people involved, and are joined by special correspondants Edward Rueda and Jellissa Alvarado, as well as frequest panelist George Colon.
