Jesus, upon finding the temple in Jerusalem filled with merchants and money changers, flips over tables and drives them out. When asked for a sign of his authority in doing such things, he replies that if the temple is destroyed, he will rebuild it in three days, pointing to his death and resurrection. Jesus' words and actions remind us of the importance of living righteously for the Lord.

Here, the Apostle John records Jesus's first miracle, turning water into wine for a wedding feast in Cana in Galilee. What is the significance of this miracle, and what can we learn about Jesus's character from the way he works? May we be like the disciples in verse 11 and believe in Him!

In this passage, we see Jesus begin to call his first disciples. He invites them to "come and see" and "follow me." Andrew tells his brother Simon Peter, and Philip tells Nathanael, repeating Jesus' invitation. What are you seeking in life? Who will you tell about the Good News?

In verses 19-34 of the first chapter of John, John the Baptist, after being questioned by religious leaders about who he is, declares that he is not the Christ; rather, he points the way toward the true Christ, Jesus, who he goes on to baptize the very next day. We see a contrast between John's baptism with water and Jesus' baptism with the Holy Spirit. What does "baptism with the Holy Spirit" mean? Why is it important? Are there different interpretations? Pastor Matt explores these questions.

In verses 6-18 of chapter 1, John describes the coming of Jesus, the incarnate Word of God, who brings grace and truth to the world. Through Jesus, all people have received grace and the opportunity to become children of God.
