With a three pointer late in a winning effort against Knoxville, Lexi reached 1,180 points in her Galva Basketball career, making her the team's all time leading score. More important to Lexi however, was that this three pointer and the 23 points she scored on Tuesday led to a Galva Wildcats winning in overtime against Knoxville. No new cases in Stark County at all in the last 7 days. We are more than on track for when COVID-19 Emergency Designations begin to be lifted at the state and federal levels in May of this year. That said, if you are someone who has not been vaccinated or has not gotten a booster it is still very much recommended. COVID-19 isn't going away and it's better not to get it if you can avoid it. Sara Billiet from the Kewanee Public Library joined Wake Up Tri-Counties on Thursday to discuss events such as Valentine Shaving Cream Marbling, a chance for kids to play with some shaving cream in a safe and creative environment and make a neat craft. Then there is the Valentine Gnome Crafting in the kids room at the library where kids can create Valentine's Gnomes for friends and family. As for the adults, Book Club is up and running in February, featuring author Kim Michele Richardson's book, The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek.
