  • Kewanee Back When The History Of The Kewanee American Legion
50 years ago, 1972, the American Legion building was built and came to the home of American Legion members in Kewanee. But, the history of the American Legion goes back more than 50 year to well nearly 100 years. Formed in the wake of World War 1, American Legion posts were popping up all over the country when hundreds of World War 1 veterans working in the various factories in Kewanee were called to join the American Legion. The Legion found their home in various meeting spaces over the years until 1971 when plans began for the Legion to build their own building. It got off to a rocky start on construction, as our friend Dave Clark explains on the latest edition of Kewanee Back When, but today, the Kewanee American Legion Post 31, is a staple of the Kewanee community. On the newest edition of Kewanee Back When, Dave Clark discusses the history of The American Legion in Kewanee.

Three years later, a documentary about the remarkable making of Chain Tripping, called The Computer Accent, is being rolled out in limited release in theaters. I was very lucky to get the chance to talk with the directors of The Computer Accent, Sebastian Pardo and Riel Roch Decter about the documentary, the band, the record, and the intersection of art and technology.
