Scott Beck and Bryan Woods shot to nationwide acclaim with the script for the horror movie A Quiet Place. Now their latest movie Haunt is available on a special edition Blu Ray and they joined WKEI to talk about their latest movie and the haunted houses that inspired them.

The IHSA is moving forward with the basketball season on November 30th. That from IHSA Executive Director Craig Anderson. The decision to move forward with the basketball season came in defiance of Governor J.B Pritzker who placed High School Basketball in the High Risk category as of Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Governor stated that each school district will have a decision to make if they want to take on the potential liability of moving forward and playing basketball starting on November 30th, That question among others was addressed by Craig Anderson in today's press conference.

Season five of the hilarious sitcom, American Housewife, starts tonight on ABC. This little sitcom that could has managed to make it five seasons through ratings challenges and cast changes and remained funny the whole way. It was a delight to talk with Diedrich Bader about the new season, the new member of the cast, and his admiration for his brilliant co-star, Katy Mixon. We also talked about how excited he is to be back to work following the shutdown for COVID-19 and how that affected the start of this new season.

The Mayor of Galva talked about Monday's Galva City Council Meeting and took the time to remind Galva residents that polling places have changed this year and people need to check to make sure where they vote at this year, next Tuesday. The Mayor also update us all on the state of the stage being built in Wiley Park for concerts, including the future Levitt Amp shows that we all hope to see next year. Finally, the Mayor addressed news that the City of Galva has decided to close the Galva Shooting Range to the public. The unofficial shooting range is a Police training ground that the City had been allowing residents to use. Recently however, questions regarding legal liability among other concerns, caused the Galva City Council to restrict access to Police for training and specific city personnel.

The Mayor of Geneseo Sean Johnson joined WKEI on People to People on Wednesday with the latest on what is happening in Geneseo. The Mayor addressed a number of topics in the interview including the Geneseo Rooftops Program, a $2500.00 utility credit for newly constructed homes in Geneseo. We also discussed COVID-19 and the economic impact across the country and in Geneseo. Finally, we discussed Tuesday night's Geneseo City Council Meeting where two new businesses received a welcome from the City of Geneseo.

RaeAnn Tucker from the Henry and Stark County Health Department joined WKEI to talk about the latest numbers for Henry and Stark County in regard to COVID-19. We also talked about the continuing rise in the infection rate across the state. The infection rate in Illinois is now at 6.3%. We also discussed how to safely trick or treat and hand out candy. The health department has created guidelines for those who would like help conducting a COVID-19 safe Halloween.

Kewanee Mayor Gary Moore joined WKEI for Tuned In on Tuesday morning to follow up on Monday night's Kewanee City Council Meeting. Mayor Moore talked about the final vote on the Sunpin Solar Development which is now officially moving forward. We also discussed a deal between the City of Kewanee and the owners of the Atkinson Landfill that will provide a new revenue source to the City of Kewanee and we discussed speeding in the City of Kewanee and the efforts of the Kewanee Police Department to further enforcement in areas where speeding is a major issue.
