Illinois Rock & Roll Museum on Route 66 founder and Chairman of the Board Ron Romero visited with Wake Up Princeton host Paul Bomleny recently. The museum is a nonprofit organization preserving the history of musicians and bands with Illinois ties while educating visitors about the state's rich music history. The museum is located in downtown Joliet as they bought the historic three-story building in September and are currently in the process of renovating it. Ron says he got the idea for the museum in 2013 but it really became a full time job for him beginning this year. You can donate or become a charter member by going to roadtorock.org. On the show, she meets some of the nation’s biggest collectors of pop culture memorabilia to give viewers an inside look at fascinating and rarely-seen private collections. Liisa,began acting as a Walt Disney Mouseketeer at age 13 before getting her iconic role as Blair Warner on The Facts of Life. She says she took a break after The Facts of Life to raise her three children. She returned to TV in Survivor: Philippines and finished tied for second. Lisa also appeared in Tyler Perry’s A Madea Christmas and For Better or For Worse and Hearts of Spring for the Hallmark Channel. Famed Western Illinois University graduate and Macomb citizen, C.T Vivian passed away on July 17th at his home in Atlanta. He was 95 years old. Dr Vivian was among the inner circle of Dr Martin Luther King and went to Selma, Alabama in the mid-1960's as part of a group of brave individuals who were helping black people to register to vote. Dr Vivian was an author and a scholar and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Barack Obama. Professor Dr J.Q Adams of Western Illinois University and the Illinois Association for Cultural Diversity met Dr Vivian on multiple occasions and interviewed him back in 2015. Dr Adams shared his thoughts on the passing of Dr Vivian with WLMD.

Contact tracing is already a thankless task for Health Departments across the country. Now, scam artists are making that job even tougher. New information from law enforcement around the country indicates several different types of scams that are using contact tracing as a way of tricking people into clicking on suspicious email or text links or getting them to give up important details about their identity by using the fear that the target of the scam may have been exposed to COVID-19. Ian Swindler, Athletic Trainer at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center joined the LocalSportsNow.com Noon Hour Sports Show on Thursday for a closer look at the IHSA Return to Play Guidelines. According to Ian, the plan has shifted from allowing contact drills to no longer allowing contact drills. As Ian explains, the IHSA is deferring questions regarding Return to Play guidelines to the Illinois Department of Health and the IDPH guidelines are much more strict than even the IHSA plans.
