Get used to calling him Bishop Jerry Rafalko. Our beloved Father Jerry has handed the reigns of the Holy Trinity Parish Polish National Catholic Church in Kewanee to Father Kazimir. Bishop Rafalko is technically still Bishop-Elect but it's only a matter of time and he's already moving well into the position. Bishop Rafalko joined WKEI to welcome Father Kazimir to his new home in Kewanee and introduce him to the public so we can all welcome Father Kazimir whose time at the Holy Trinity Church is already underway.

Coaching Legend Bob Reade, passed away on July 5th. The Coach who is forever remembered for his time at Geneseo High School, before it was called Geneseo High School, and Augustana, is not just being remembered as a coach but also as a leader and family man. LocalSportsNow.com had the chance to pay tribute to Coach Reade this week in conversation with Rock Island Football Assistant Coach Lance Riccio whose own father Coached alongside Coach Reade and who himself was able to learn from the man from at a very early age about what a leader looks like.

The Henry County Farm Bureau Golf Outing is a major Farm Bureau Fundraiser every year. Now, with COVID-19 making such gatherings difficult, the Farm Bureau has found a clever way to keep the tradition alive. The Farm Bureau is hosting a virtual golf outing using the honor system. Players can compete on their own time, on the course of their choice and submit photos of themselves and their scorecard. Players are trusted to tell the truth about their round and remember that the money raised goes to help the Farm Bureau operations and scholarships which are far more important than any impressive score on the links.
