Actress and singer Melora Hardin visited with Wake Up Princeton host Paul Bomleny recently on WZOE 1490-AM. She is best known as Jan Levinson on NBC's The Office and Trudy Monk on USA's Monk. More recently, Hardin appeared in a recurring role on Amazon's Transparent, for which she received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination.

She’s been in numerous movies, including 17 Again and 27 Dresses. Her versatile career includes the stage, where she played the role of Fantine in the Hollywood Bowl's concert of Les Misérables. She made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in the revival of Chicago: The Musical.

Hardin currently stars in the Freeform series “The Bold Type” on Thursday nights at 9:00. She also plays Patricia in A Million Little Things.

The Kewanee School District met on Monday evening and Dr Chris Sullens, Kewanee Schools Superintendent joined WKEI on Wednesday to talk about what came about from Monday's meeting. Dr Sullens addressed school funding and he tells WKEI that thankfully, despite issues across the state budget, the school funding program remained at 2019 levels. The School Board set a budget during Monday's meeting for the school year. Superintendent Sullens then talked to WKEI about the progress of various projects, including plans to get solar panels up and running this month at Kewanee School sites, all part our interview on Wednesday.

The Christmas Day Fire of 1969 was our topic on the latest edition of Kewanee Back When on WKEI. Dave Clark was a part time reporter for WKEI radio in 1969 when a fire broke out at a Kewanee restaurant on Christmas morning. Pressed into action, Dave found a base of operations at, of all places, a bar open on Christmas morning and with the aid only of a rotary phone, Dave reported news of the fire which raged in the area now dominated by Good's Furniture in Kewanee.

At Monday night's Kewanee City Council Meeting, the Kewanee City Council heard from auditors regarding the 2019 fiscal year. The audit of City of Kewanee Finances is an annual function of outside accountants but has been held up for several months due to accounts that were not balancing properly. Those issues resolved, the Audit was finally completed and delivered on Monday night. Mayor Moore says he was satisfied with the results of the audit but did suggest a change in the accounting going forward. The fiscal year budget for the City of Kewanee will have to wait two more weeks to be made official, new numbers released on Monday afternoon caused council members to request the budget be tabled for two weeks for further examination. Finally, the City Council voted unanimously in favor of requiring registration for dogs and cats in Kewanee City Limits. A fee of $5.00 per year per pet along with failure to register penalties are part of the ordinance.

What do scientists learn from Antibody testing and does testing for Antibodies tell us whether or not we had COVID-19 and perhaps didn't know it? Can Antibodies make us immune to re-infection with COVID-19? It's too early in the science to determine that yet but Antibodies were the main topic of discussion today with Dr Cliff Martin, Chief Surgical Officer at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center.
