In today's Henry and Stark County Health Department COVID-19 Daily Briefing, RaeAnn Tucker explained the decision to reveal zip code based data on Monday. The Health Department released data specific to Kewanee showing more than 5 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Kewanee. As RaeAnn Tucker explains the decision was made because Kewanee, as one of the population centers of Henry County, is viewed as an area that is not complying with Shelter at Home and Social Distancing guidelines. This creates the danger of Kewanee becoming a COVID-19 hotspot. The announcement does not change any of the ways we approach COVID-19. Protect yourself by washing your hands, cleaning thoroughly and maintaining 6 feet of social distance. There are now 37 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Henry County. There is still only 1 confirmed case in Stark County. Statewide, there are 31,508 confirmed COVID-19 cases. In Illinois, 1349 people have died from COVID-19.
