Vision gives a sense of direction of moving forward, taking you from who you are in the moment or at the present, and helping you become who God desires you to be.

Paul wrote a letter to the church of Philippi, telling them that there's a cost to following Christ. It wouldn't always be easy, and it wouldn't always be comfortable. They'd have to set aside their personal preferences in order to reach people with the good news of Jesus. Are we up to the same challenge?

When we're giving out of joy, big things are going to happen. We're going to have a big impact, but it's also going to change us in the process. How are you giving these days?

The early church was incredibly generous, even in the midst of great poverty. The purpose of giving is knowing that it's a privilege to give. We can give out of joy because we've been given so much.

At the beginning of the book of Phillipians, Paul was praising God for the “partnership in the gospel” he had with the church of Philippi. He was thankful not only for what had been done, but what was to come, as the Spirit of Jesus Christ continued to work in their hearts. We have experienced many blessings together, and if we continue to be who He has called us to be and be led by His Spirit (Jer.29:11-14, His goodness and grace will continue to be poured out among and through us. Can you see it?

Can you see it? Because the early church had come to really know the love of Jesus, they were now loving Him more than self! If we genuinely love God more than anything, we will experience His presence and the incredible joy it brings!

The early church we read about in the book of Acts was impacting their community in BIG ways. The apostles were doing great things, and as a result, thousands of people came to know Jesus as the Lord of their life. How are we impacting our community today?

In Genesis, Jacob had to wrestle with God for peace in his own life. How often do we have to do the same? We have to work for peace, we have to fight for it!
