We all struggle with vanity on some level. We want to look good in front of our friends. We want to be accepted and approved of. This desire has a tendency to get us into trouble. The fear of losing the approval of our peers can lead to a life of conformity and compromise. When we choose to follow Jesus, we are going to experience the world’s rejection. In the midst of this rejection, we must hold on to this truth: that we are accepted and approved of by God because of what Christ has done for us on the cross.
