Matthew 6:30-33 Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you
Christian = we are disciples
👉Being a disciple is very different than being a Christian. (Christianity is hard to define / disciples it’s very clear) Acts 11:26
Disciples = learner / apprentice / follower / I want to be like Jesus / where you going that’s where I am going.
Want you life to straighten up?
You have to put God first.
God will not be second in our lives.
Ways to put God first:
Matthew 17:14-20
This kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.
When we get close to God we start thinking like God ❤️
The answer to any of your issues is simple.
Prayer and Fasting
Time to push away from the world and push toward Jesus.
Matthew 6 shows us what it looks like to be a disciple. #whenyou
If we gave our body everything it craved. We would be dead.
Our soul is mind will and emotions -
What if I just let my emotions run my life? I would be miserable and alone.
If I let my spirit be in charge - I will come closer to God
Emotions lie.
Faith works against our feelings most often.
What will this 21 days look like for you?
How are you going to prioritize your time with God daily?
5 min prayer
5 min worship
5 min journal

We are to be mission focused.
We look so much inward that we can’t get anything done.
It is not about you.
Look Outward not inward
To go and make disciples
It’s not the me it’s the we.
Remove the I.
We think about what makes me comfortable.
Communal faith
When is the last time I intentionally looked outward?
Your own mission that God called you to.
We wait on the church to schedule something to serve. But we are called to it every single day.
We don’t wait for them to come to us. He gives us the opportunities every single day.
Jesus went low.
We want Jesus along but we don’t want him leading us.
Jesus didn’t care their status.
Take the blinders off
Excuses: your Momma raised you better than that.
No Time: priorities
Time block: how are we using our time to reach out?
You make time for what’s important to you.
We don’t know enough. Look at Peter and Paul: they were uneducated and untrained.
Put in the time to know Gods word.
I just can’t afford to do that right now.
People don’t just need stuff—they need an ear. They need our hearts.
Gift of giving
Gift of kindness.
Gentle response
Mission is possible
Matthew 28:18 Go and make disciples.
Do life with people.
Gift of encouragement.
Host a small group.
We are the same family.
Ask questions.

Compassion Canyon
Proverbs 15:19
I am going to be a person of compassion
Compassion / Splagchnizmai: to be moved in ones bowels, hence to be moved with compassion. A visceral gut wrenching emotional response that is so strong that we are physically moved to action.
(The bowels were thought to be the seat of love and pity)
Matthew 20:34 Jesus moved with compassion
Mark 6:33-34 Jesus had compassion
Each time Jesus was moved - he acted.
If there is not action attached to your compassion then it’s not real #gas
if you don’t act….
You don’t care.
Love God AND love people
The Good Samaritan
You will always have an excuse to justify not getting involved.
Reasons we don’t help:
True compassion looks like:
True compassion inconveniences you.
What would happen if all the Christian’s decided to be available for God to interrupt them?
Look for the Divine Interruption today!!
⭐️Living your life on call for God
Can God trust you to send you across someone’s path?
The Samaritan gave two days wages - and took on the responsibility for anymore.
We will do anything short of sin to reach people who don’t know Christ.
Be generous for Jesus not others
God break my heart for what breaks yours.
Go and do likewise

Getting out of the roundabout
Proverbs 15:19
John 5:1-8
1.You’ve got to Slow down to spread up. Inspect what you expect. Where is my roundabout ? Is there someone that is keeping you stuck in a roundabout? You will walk through.
2.You’ve got to Turn your signal on. Let go of the excuses. Stop blaming the enemy. What is that thing that is keeping you comfortable where you are at? What is soo stinky in your life you can’t even smell it?
3.You’ve got to let Jesus take the wheel. Control freak
stage 1 you just get tired
stage 2. Exhausted
stage 3 vulnerable
stage 4 Settle.
John 5:8-9
Your miracle is not being there it leaving there.
Joshua 1:9
The attachment to your past cannot be stronger than your commitment to the future.
Jeremiah 29:11-13
Matthew 6:33

If it had not been the LORD who was on our side...
Psalm 124:2-5
If it had not been the Lord who was on our side
when people rose up against us,
then they would have swallowed us up alive,
when their anger was kindled against us;
then the flood would have swept us away,
the torrent would have gone over us;
then over us would have gone
the raging waters.

One of the most freeing things you can ever let yourself lean into, "I don't know all the answers, but I DO trust God."
So powerful
Speak these things over yourself this morning:
1. I am a warrior for Christ, and I fight against the powers of darkness with His strength.
2. I am a child of promise, and I trust in God's faithfulness to fulfill His promises to me.
3. I am a recipient of God's abundant blessings, and I give thanks for His goodness.
Let the symphony of your life reflect the Glory of the Lord.
Pause.
Reflect.
Selah.

James 3:10-12
Blessing and cursing come out of the same mouth. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way. Does a spring pour out sweet and bitter water from the same opening? Can a fig tree produce olives, my brothers and sisters, or a grapevine produce figs? Neither can a saltwater spring yield fresh water.
You can build OR You can destroy.
You. Cannot. Do. Both.
Speak these things over yourself this morning:
1. I am a child of God, created in His image and loved unconditionally.
2. I am forgiven and redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
3. I am a new creation in Christ, old things have passed away and all things have become new.

This week, our first stop on the Relate Summer Roadtrip was 🥁🥁🥁 THE PARENTING PARKWAY!!
Whether you're a new parent, a veteran parent, an aspiring parent, or lead younger humans in any way... Pastors Sean & Angela brought an incredibly insightful word about leading INTENTIONALLY!
Remember Parenting Parkway Tip #1... "Start with a goal in mind"
But, what is that goal? 🤔🤔🤔
Let's get down to the nitty-gritty of what that looks like! 👉👉👉 The GOAL is to gradually transfer a child's dependence away from their parents until their dependence rests solely on God!
Parenting Parkway Tip #2 👇👇👇
Hurry and Love are incompatible!
Love takes TIME and INTENTION.
Ask yourself, "does my family feel like they have my time, attention, and intention?" If not, maybe it's time to slow down and make some changes!1 Peter 5:5 says, 👉 'God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.'
