  • 56. What Are You Allowing?

Welcome back to another episode of the Relationships Unraveled Podcast! I am discussing the importance of taking responsibility for your choices and setting boundaries in your relationships on today’s episode. I reflect on my own marriage and how I often felt resentful at times and I share how I flipped the script and changed that narrative by setting boundaries. There is a need for taking ownership and reframing your relationship issues by focusing on your own personal choices rather than blaming others. Be truthful with yourself in this. I encourage setting boundaries based on personal needs and values, and consider what you are allowing in your relationships. I hope this episode empowered you to have self-awareness and personal accountability in your relationships and everyday life!

  • 52. Defining Common Language

On today’s episode, I am diving into the concept of “defining common language”. Creating a shared language in relationships is crucial to improve communication. It’s important to be precise in the words we choose in different situations, such as when it comes to marriage or parenting to avoid misunderstandings. I suggest that you ask clarifying questions to truly grasp wha the other person means and to be willing to talk about different interpretations. As always, I hope this episode helps improve your relationships and communication!

  • 50. Holding the Tension

I share the concept of "holding the tension" in many areas such as faith, parenting, and relationships. I stress the importance of not gripping beliefs too rigidly by using an analogy of the finger puzzle with the woven material from years ago. The harder you pull, the more tension you put on the finger puzzle and the harder it is to get your fingers out. This is the same in many areas of life. I want to encourage you to use Jesus' example of beautifully holding tension and to practice this approach for freedom, peace, and personal growth in your own life.

  • 49. Are Your Actions Speaking Louder Than Your Words?

I’m sure you have heard the saying, “Actions speak louder than words”. Well, today I want to chat more about that with you. I want you to reflect on your own behaviors and the authenticity of your intentions in your relationships. I encourage you to take small, genuine steps towards change rather than just talking about it. Be honest with yourself: Are there areas in your life where you're vocal about what you want to change but haven't taken the first step? It could be a habit you want to break, a skill you wish to learn, or a relationship that needs mending. Recognizing these areas are crucial because acknowledgment is the first step towards action. I hope today’s episode helps you. I’d love to hear about it!
