Last week I did an episode with a compilation of the best of 2023 with solo episodes. I don't want to forget about my amazing guests that I had last year though! I had so many amazing conversations and I was so grateful to each guest that came on and shared their expertise. It was hard to choose just a few for today's episode but I put together a compilation of 4 episodes to highlight some of the guests of 2023. Tune in to hear what episodes I chose and be sure to go back and take a listen to each one as well.

It’s almost the New Year and that means that so many are focusing on New Year's resolutions. I want to suggest a different way to look at New Year's resolutions in today’s episode. I am sharing my own struggles with resolutions and the things that often prevent us from achieving these goals. I want you to shift you perspective and focus on self-discovery and understanding rather than setting specific goals. It’s important to use this time to self-reflect, take responsibility for our actions, and step out of our comfort zones. I suggest that you look for God’s presence first and foremost and the blessings that we have in our lives. God’s highlight reel of your year looks a lot different than what a typical highlight reel of the year may look like and I encourage you to find that in this year!

There is something simple that you can give this holiday season — the gift of curiosity. Genuine curiosity and asking open-ended questions shows care and concern when talking with others. I challenge you to not ask the newly married couple when they are going to have a baby, or the single family member if they are dating someone. I encourage you to ask meaningful questions and truly be curious about other’s lives. That is a true gift that you can give this holiday season.

I have another holiday series episode coming your way! Today, I am sharing more about being proactive versus reactive at family gatherings (or just in general!) I share the importance of taking responsibility for your own emotions and not expecting others to accommodate to you. Identifying our triggers and creating a plan to handle them is so important. I share a personal example on how I changed my reactive behavior to a proactive behavior as well. I hope this episode is helpful to you as you navigate the holidays!

Happy Thanksgiving! We are throwing it back to a summer favorite, of what to do with the elephant in the room. This is a perfect episode to be a part of our holiday series because we all know that the holidays can bring a mix of emotions and tensions.
We’ve all heard the term “the elephant in the room”. Usually this is referring to a major problem or issue that is present but everyone seems to avoid talking about. Something like this may come up during the holidays and I want you to be prepared. Instead of avoiding the “elephant”, I actually want you to do the opposite when you are in a conversation and these hard topics come up. Find out how and why on today’s episode!

On today’s episode, I am starting off the holiday series. I know during the holidays especially there can be tough family dynamics, hard conversations, and different feelings that may arise, and I hope that this series helps you navigate those with a little more ease.
I want to share with you a topic that has been on my mind lately, especially with the holidays around the corner. It's observation without judgment, a tool that can be applied to any relationship at any time of the year, but particularly useful during the holiday season. I give you practical tools for navigating relationships during this time, really highlighting the need to find a balance between acknowledging the beauty and difficulties of the holidays. I share personal experiences and encourage you to practice observing without judgement on yourself and others. I stress the importance of setting boundaries, acknowledging your emotions, and not giving up on your journey of intentional growth. My aim with this episode and the upcoming ones is to help you improve your relationships and understand yourself better.
