Relaxing Harp Music by Cymber Lily Quinn

I had the great fortune to live in and around Hilo, Hawaii, for about 15 years. I just got back from a vacation, and now am loving playing slack key style music on the harp. Here's a little tune I made up just now...

Autumn's Whispers: A Harp Serenade" is a hauntingly beautiful solo harp composition that captures the essence of the fall season in all its splendor. The delicate plucking of harp strings conjures images of crisp, golden leaves gently cascading from the trees, dancing in the cool, fragrant breeze.

As the harpist's fingers glide effortlessly across the strings, the music evokes a sense of nostalgia, as if it were the soundtrack to cherished memories of autumn days gone by. The melody is imbued with a sense of melancholy, reflecting the bittersweet nature of the season's fleeting beauty.

"Autumn's Whispers" weaves a musical tapestry of warm, earthy tones and shimmering, ethereal notes, painting a vivid sonic portrait of the changing landscape. It's a serene and introspective piece that invites listeners to immerse themselves in the tranquil atmosphere of autumn, where every pluck of the harp string resonates with the soulful, introspective spirit of the season. This harp serenade is a heartfelt tribute to the magic of fall, a reminder to savor its fleeting moments, and an ode to the whispers of nature that fill the air during this enchanting time of year.

I lived in Hawaii for 15 years and saw earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, lots and lots of rain and floods. But nothing like what happened on Maui.

Today, I created a new improvisation based on Hawaiian Slack Key Guitar. I was lucky enough to study a tiny bit with the great Cyril Pahinui. As usual, it was recorded live in one take (pardon my dust as I break out a new tune).

And I created this tune to honor  and celebrate the Lahaina Banyan Tree, the symbol of hope and regrowth on Maui.

I lived in Hawaii for 15 years and saw earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, lots and lots of rain and floods. But nothing like what happened on Maui.

Today, I recorded a medley of tunes and improvisations that I have written, combined with "Sanoe" - which is the second most famous song of the last queen of Hawai'i, Queen Lili'uokalani. As usual, it was recorded live in one take.

Introducing Dan Gillogly: Collaborating on a Musical Journey

I am thrilled to announce that I am joined by another incredibly talented artist, Dan Gillogly, on this musical endeavor. Dan has masterfully created the beautiful soundscapes that provide the perfect backdrop for my harp melodies.

In this particular collaboration, we present a mesmerizing piece originally titled "Orion's Descent." What makes this recording truly special is that it was completely improvised and captured in a single take. As I listened to Dan's recorded piece during my own recording session, I responded in the moment, allowing the music to guide my harp's delicate notes.

I invite you to explore Dan Gillogly's captivating music. You can find his work at the following links:

• Website: https://dancgillogly.com/
• YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@thepianomandan

Dan's musical contributions have added a unique and enchanting dimension to this collaboration, blending harmoniously with the soothing melodies of the harp. Together, we aim to transport listeners to a realm of tranquility and inner reflection.

Thank you for joining us on this musical journey. We hope that our collaborative effort resonates with your soul and brings you moments of profound serenity.

Mother’s Day Harp Poetry

With strings of gold and angelic sound,

The harpist plucks a tune profound.

Her fingers dance with gentle grace,

A melody that fills the space.

On Mother's Day, a special treat,

The harpist plays a tune so sweet.

For all the love that moms impart,

The music moves the soul and heart.

Each note a tribute to her care,

A soothing balm to ease our despair.

For every time she held us tight,

And chased away the fears of night.

The harpist's hands, they never tire,

Her music sets our hearts on fire.

With every chord and every pluck,

We're reminded of our mother's love.

So on this day, we honor her,

The one who held us when we were unsure.

The harpist plays a song of love,

A tribute to the one above.

May Day arrives with warming sun,

A time when spring is newly begun.

The world is waking from its sleep,

And promises of growth to keep.

In celebration of this day,

Harp music echoes far away.

The strings sing out a joyful tune,

And flowers bloom beneath the moon.

The harpist plucks each string with care,

Their melody fills the air.

As dancers twirl in the soft grass,

The harp's music does quickly pass.

May Day brings a sense of cheer,

A time to leave behind all fear.

And in the sweet sound of the harp,

We find a way to fill our hearts.

So let us sing and dance and play,

On this bright and joyous day.

And may the harp's melody stay,

With us as we go on our way.

A harp's gentle plucking
Echoes through the forest
Like a song sung by nature herself

Each note a tribute
To the earth's beauty and grace
A melody that resonates with every living thing

The harpist plays with passion
Their heartstrings intertwined
With the earth's own beating heart

On this day of celebration
We honor our planet's gifts
And pledge to be her guardians

With every strum and every chord
We sing the praises of the earth
And vow to protect her for all time

So let the harp's sweet music
Remind us of our duty
To cherish and preserve this precious world
