Â
Eric begins the episode by explaining that the main reason we need salespeople is to help people make a decision, he mentions how 10% of the people you connect with are going to be ready to buy and another 10% will never buy anything. He talks about how it's the 80% that we are after, the ones that are unsure of their decisions and need salespeople to help them cross over.
Â
He implores salespeople to stop being passive about what they do and to have the guts to ask a customer to make a decision during the call and not after. Eric talks about how the first thing you need to be successful in sales is to have a script, you have to know what you're going to say for the first few seconds of a call. Have a script and keep practicing it.
Â
The next thing is knowing the benefits, you have to know the benefits that the customer is going to get from your product/service. It has to be the bridge between where they are and where they want to be. Focus on the future result that will benefit your client, not the product itself.

In today's episode, we explore the fascinating topic of emotional intelligence and its profound impact on business performance. We'll uncover how understanding and harnessing emotions can drive success, productivity, and effective decision-making within organizations.
Â
Our guest, Joshua Freedman, one of the world's top experts on leveraging emotional intelligence for business performance with 25 years of experience, is a co-founder of Six Seconds—the world's first global nonprofit dedicated to growing EQ. And in addition to being the leader of the world's largest study of emotional intelligence, called State of the Heart, he has also published six validated assessments, 5 books, and an incredible library of business cases and articles.
Â
Join us as we discuss strategies, real-life examples, and practical tips for leveraging emotional intelligence to unlock your team's potential and drive business growth. The episode starts with Joshua explaining what emotional intelligence is and using emotional data to help us understand ourselves and guide us towards where we want to go. How it's about accurately acquiring emotional data and effectively using it. He talks about how the feedback you receive from other people is what determines the accuracy of your data.
Â
Joshua shares his experience with a journalist who visited the school he was working at to introduce to them the concept of emotional intelligence, which piqued the interest of a lot of people who started asking how it can be used. This led to them starting an organization in 1997 to answer that question, the question of how we can practically use emotional intelligence in our lives.
Â
The organization eventually grew into having programs in 150 countries from people of different unions, sectors, and companies now certified in using their methods and tools. He talks about how they have learning tools that can help people from whatever level of familiarity you have towards emotional intelligence, even children. If you want to hear more about Joshua's expertise on emotional intelligence and how you can use it, tune in for this episode.

In this episode, Eric delves into the transformative power of affirmations and taking action, and explore how it can create profound changes in our lives. Whether it's pursuing our dreams, initiating positive change, or overcoming challenges, our thoughts and actions are the catalyst that propels us forward on the path of growth and fulfillment.
Â
Eric begins the episode by imploring others to listen to this episode with the intent of taking action because nothing will change unless you use the lessons you learn to do something. He impels others to believe that anything is possible and to stop and pause whenever you get these self-sabotaging thoughts that instantly comes when you entertain the idea of reaching for something good.
Â
Allow yourself to recognize that it's possible for you and visualize yourself doing it. The next thing Eric encourages you to believe is that you have the ability to take control of how you view and relate to every situation. Every situation comes with the seed to either help us learn or become a victim and it's up to us what seed we're going to choose.
Â
Even if we cannot control the situation, we can certainly control who we're being in that situation.

Welcome to today's episode where we will be discussing the topic of inspiring your team. As a leader, one of your most important responsibilities is to inspire and motivate your team to achieve their full potential. But how do you do that effectively?
In this episode, Eric shares the story of his experience training sales leaders and 3 things you should do as a leader to inspire your team. Whether you're a new manager or have been leading a team for years, there are always ways to improve your leadership skills.
Eric shares the realization of how leaders don't know why their people come to work when an audience asks him how to motivate a team of people who are so set in their ways, which leads us to the first thing you need to do which is know why they come to work.
As leaders, you have to understand the reason behind why your people come to work and what they want to accomplish, have the conversations discussing their future plans because that's what's going to inspire them. Help guide them towards their goals.
The second thing you need to do is to show them, not tell them. If you want your team to do what you want, do what you expect them to do first. Having your leader be with you and helping you accomplish things helps your team feel motivated to do what they need to. You have to set an example of what you want to see from your team.
Lastly, have effective one-on-ones, something that is really crucial. Have one-on-ones not to discuss spreadsheets and numbers but to coach them and help them feel more committed. Allow them to discuss and find answers themselves by helping them through the process.
If you want to know more details on how to inspire your team as a leader, tune in for this episode.

Sexual abuse is a pervasive issue that affects millions of people around the world. It can take many forms, from unwanted touching to rape, and it can happen to anyone, regardless of age, gender, or background.
Â
Our guest today is someone who has survived sexual abuse and found a way to reclaim their power and their voice. Growing up in Russia in the 90's, this has made it difficult for a single mom to earn money for a family of 3 and at the age of 4, Anna had to grow up too quickly to survive and help take care of her younger brother. At 10 years old, a monster in disguise came into their lives in the form of their stepfather, who they quickly realized is not going to be their knight in shining armor. This started a cycle of verbal and physical abuse that escalated into sexual abuse when she turned 15. If you want to hear more about Anna's story of courage and healing, tune in for this episode.
