Seattle, Washington is a good city to explore and to get a taste of big city life. In this Episode Boots and Alexa take a trip into one of the Pacific Northwest's premier cities for both Boots and Alexa's birthday weekends! Sometimes planning out a trip takes longer than the actual trip itself.  Boots will talk about his love for the Mariners and his satisfaction with gum alley. Alexa finally gets a dose of coffee from the city where Starbucks originally came from and how tiring walking can be within downtown Seattle. Take a listen and leave with positive vibes!

Birthdays are a time to rejoice and celebrate! In this episode, Boots and Alexa will discuss almost everything surrounding Birthdays. Boots is afraid of getting closer to mid-life crisis and not receiving a PS5. Alexa one of these days wants to travel far and wide to celebrate her date of birth!  Also the discussion will delve into that nothing lasts forever. The family and the friends you have will not remain the same from childhood to adulthood. What does stay the same though is the delicious taste that Birthday cake has. It's almost Mothers Day by the time this episode is released! How are moms so resilient and confident?  When push comes to shove, mothers can be intimidating too! In this episode Boots will explain how his Mom remained strong even though she was over 2500 miles away from where she was raised when raising a family of her own.  Alexa will then talk on how her mama remained poised even as a single parent living out in the boonies. Moms carry a lot of weight with them, but in the end they should always be there for us. Listen in and leave with some positive vibes!

Trying to continue the good vibes! In this episode Boots and Alexa remember how much composure is needed when working in Elementary School classrooms. Trying to find a moment of silence at elementary schools is pretty difficult, but experience will be gained if there's enough effort to stay grounded and positive for the kids. Sometimes though, the classroom will eventually lose control and will end up having the same energy as the playground outside. Whether its the weather itself causing indoor recess or a holiday party for the class; classrooms will sometimes become a playground of some sorts. Optimism is needed because this experience will definitely help later down the road!

For this 6th episode, Boots and Alexa will discuss Indian names. The Indian Name Boots has that translates into English is ''Heart of the Enemy.'' Boots will explain to Alexa and listeners on how he received his Indian Name. To earn his name, some accomplishments had to be done. Not every tribe and even family in the same tribe is similar when it comes to handing out names to upcoming individuals. So take a listen to a healthy discussion about American Indian names and hopefully some positive vibes can be taken to anyone who tunes in!

Onto the fifth episode! For this Episode, both Boots and Alexa will really remember where they came from. Alexa comes from a very tiny spread out community that has very little to do. Boots comes from a small Native American Reservation which continues to grow. Both aspired to get out of their comfort zone by attending college far away from their childhood homes. In the end the two make currently find themselves living in a small town with bright aspirations. What's next? This discussion they will also talk about whether if either will find themselves residing in a smaller community or maybe big city living is on the horizon. Tune in and leave with positive spirits!

HO-LAY! Springtime is here and that means the first foods are making a comeback. In this fourth episode, Boots and Alexa talk about their ventures trying to get roots last year. Boots will also talk about the processes of why and how the peoples of the Umatilla Tribe pursue these roots. Alexa has an outsiders point of view and will voice her experiences since going out in the hills with Boots to scope out our sisters. The sisters(the roots) will show themselves for the gathering to come in the upcoming weeks. Its time to rejoice the return of the roots! It also means its going to get dirty to welcome our sister foods back because root digging can be pretty dirty!
With each episode the goal is to make the podcast episodes/sessions more cleaner and tighter. Each recording is bringing something new to learn. Hopefully this will send more good vibes to whoever is listening out there. Also from this episode on, the language session of the podcast will be discontinued in order to keep the flow of the show going. That doesn't mean that Boots is not going to pursue holding another podcast dedicated to the Native American Language and stories. Be on the look out in the future regarding the Northeast Oregon Tribal language and stories!

Third time is a charm! Trying to aim for short and sweet with the episodes. Still learning about this podcasting process. Even though one of the two of us on here has a license to to teach, there's always more time to learn more. In this episode Alexa will describe how she was able to get a teachers license to work in Elementary schools. Boots will listen and determine for himself if he has what it takes to get a license to teach or if he just wants to stay in his own lane. Hopefully listeners can take positive vibes with them!

Hi to all! Podcasting is a process and it will take some time to get used to the new venture. This new venture is going to require coffee and maybe some water! Alexa really does have a taste for coffee. Since she is a  2nd grade teacher, she needs something to help get her through her days at work. Boots knows just the drink for her. In this episode, Boots and Alexa will discuss with each other about different types of coffees. There's the small business coffee, the coffee chains, and there is Longhouse Coffee.
