Remembering Tiananmen Square 1989 with Fleur Taylor

Listen Later

In 1989 a massive student-led uprising against the Communist regime in China was brutally crushed in Tiananmen Square, the heart of the capital Beijing. Fleur Taylor was an 18-year-old student on an Australian government program who witnessed the historic events first hand. We discuss what she saw, and how to understand the politics of the events as a socialist today.
