Transformations aren't as perfect as social media would have you believe.
When people paint transformations as neatly wrapped in a bow, it instills in us a false narrative about how true long term change is really made.
Real transformations are gritty. Painful. At times, they can feel hopeless.
The moment I heard Nick's story for the first time, I knew I wanted him to share it on the podcast because the way he told it was raw and real.
He had the courage to open up about what transformation can really take - the pain, the struggle, and real human experience of overcoming a seemingly insurmountable challenge.
This is Nick's story of how he overcame agonising chronic pain & lose over 40kg after a freak ski accident left him virtually bedridden for 6 years - and how his commitment to movement played a pivotal role in that journey.
Nick - thank you for sharing so courageously, and for inspiring people to find hope in dark times.
To those of you listening - strap in... and enjoy.
