Genesis 47

The life of Joseph has been a dramatic story of life and death, patriarchs and Pharaohs, nations and empires. It’s a wild sequence of ups and downs, as God puts together his “good plans”, piece by piece.

This Sunday, we’ll focus on the way God has prepared Joseph. From the God-ordained circumstances of his life to the God-given abilities he possessed, Joseph was prepared for the good works God accomplished through him. 

If you’re a child of God, here’s some good news—he's prepared you, too! And this week, we’ll encourage you with the good plans that God has for you.

Genesis 45-46

This week, we find Joseph reconciled to his brothers and calling for them to go home, gather their father and their entire family, and bring them back to Egypt. Will Jacob be able to make such a change? Will God somehow reassure Jacob that this is His good and perfect plan? 

Join us this Sunday as we witness the reunion of Jacob and Joseph, beautifully illustrating the theme of restoration and reconciliation throughout this epic account!

Genesis 44

This week, we find Joseph's brothers on the road heading home from Egypt, when they are "caught" with an item from the house of Joseph. Not realizing it was part of a plan, they return to Joseph scared, shaken, and shattered. They bow before him, begging for mercy while fearing the very harshest of punishments.

Why would Joseph set up his brothers? What is he wanting to hear? What will he choose to do?

Joseph's epic story has been slowly building in suspense. Join us this Sunday as we reach the pinnacle -- when Joseph reveals himself to his brothers!

Genesis 43

This week we find Joseph in the midst of all the administration, distress, and business surrounding the needs in Egypt during time of famine, only to once again be interrupted by his brothers' return.

How will he handle this encounter? What test will he ask that they pass? How will he respond to seeing Benjamin?

This week we return to the prison that Joseph has been forgotten in to learn lessons on waiting patiently for the salvation of the Lord.

Genesis 40

Today, we’re going to step into Joseph’s story while he’s still in the waiting room of life—prison. God gives Joseph the ability to interpret others dreams, and in doing so we’ll watch how Joseph handles some trial and testing.

We’ll see how Joseph’s trust in God’s timing carries him through disappointment.

Genesis 37:12-36

How can this be a good plan? Joseph has been rejected, abandoned and thrown into a pit, only to be sold to a caravan of Ishmaelite's on their way to Egypt!

Some might say, "Where is God in this? How could a loving God allow this to happen to Joseph? I thought God was a good God?"

This Sunday we continue our story in Egypt as we open the next two chapters and witness the character of two brothers who are faced with sexual temptation -- one who succumbed (Judah) and one who succeeded (Joseph).

Genesis 37:12-36

Isn’t it GOOD to know that God has provided a roadmap for all of His children to follow (Romans 12:9-21), as well as a life for all His children to emulate  (Genesis 37:12-36), in how we overcome and respond to all the evil we are surrounded by? Within this very dark world, we’ve been called to shine our light.

God is GOOD… all the time.
