This Sunday, we’ll be highlighting a name that we’ve previously encountered in Hebrews. It’s a name that’s both mysterious and significant. Who is Melchizedek? This king and priest takes on a major role in chapter 7, as the author of Hebrews builds a case that Jesus is a greater High Priest — a priest in the order of Melchizedek.

We’ll unpack this enigmatic figure, and in doing so, we’ll get a fuller picture of Jesus’ work on our behalf.

Join us this Sunday as we heed a warning from the writer of Hebrews about the danger of dwelling too long in immature faith.

It’s like being stuck on the runway, refusing to leave the gate, going over the same pre-flight instructions again and again but never actually taking off.

This week, in one of the more difficult passages of all scripture, we’ll learn to press on to maturity following the IFR of a divine ‘track line’ as our anchor for the soul.

This Sunday, we wing our way through Hebrews chapter 4, where we’re reminded that God has prepared a place of true rest, like a destination waiting for travelers after a long flight. But, we’re warned not to miss that destination through unbelief. Just as passengers must listen carefully to the pilot and follow the flight plan, we are called to pay attention to God’s voice and trust His direction.

Join us this week as we learn to rest knowing God is in the control tower, and He will provide mercy, guidance, and grace exactly when we need it to keep flying faithfully toward our final destination.

So far in our Selah series, we’ve visited homes overwhelmed by stress and homes in seasons of success. But in every neighborhood, there are also homes that may look fine on the outside, but inside something has gone terribly wrong. Homes that are in crisis, overwhelmed by loss, fear, and pain.

This Sunday, we’ll drop back into the life of Jesus, right when he is experiencing the greatest crisis moment of his life. We’ll see how he responds to that moment, and learn to Selah alongside him in another psalm—this time, Psalm 77.

Whether it’s every once in a while, every day, or every moment, if you’re experiencing loss, fear, or pain, this Sunday we’ll learn how to follow Jesus’ example as he found Selah in crisis.
