A lot of us believe that the only real way we can make a difference in the world is through political force. But God's word teaches us that we are exiles, servants of God, and our strength is in our prophetic witness to all the world. What does that prophetic witness look like?

When thinking about difficult times in the world, the Psalmist declared, "The Lord reigns, let the earth rejoice!" Tough times often make us feel an array of emotions: fear, panic, anger, despair. But we who follow Jesus have an eternal hope – Our God Reigns Forever! This doesn't mean we withdraw. Rather, it means we can engage this world, but with joy rather than fear!

This weekend is Vision Sunday at Renewal Church. Our chief ambition is that we would fully realize Jesus' profound love for us and, in turn, that we would pour out that love onto one another. Our aim is that the wonderful, imperfect people who make up our fellowship would love the truth, walk in the truth, and experience the joy of a life shaped by the gospel.
