Investing to renovate and investing to live are two different things. When I talk about making it personal, I don’t mean the fluffy “will my kids enjoy this backyard?” type of personal.

What I’m talking about is the personal that will click in perfectly with the rest of your renovating for profit goals.

So, you’ve decided you want to try your hand at renovating for wealth. You’ve figured out what your end goal is, and why you want to dive into the renovating world.

But what about all the bumps and hazards along the road? Do you know the road rules of that particular journey? And have you got an up-to-date GPS to help avoid the potholes and dead ends?

Like any new journey, getting into the business of renovating for wealth has its own dangers and risks. Except, unlike a stint at growing your own fruits and vegetables, or spontaneously deciding to bring home that super-cute puppy from the pet store, renovating involves a lot of money.

And as with most things, the more money, the greater the risk.

I just got back from camping. Seven days away at my parents farm with good friends and, altogether, seven children, four of which are mine. I came home today, rain coming in and I started to clean up and the wash and getting through all the dirt and the grump from camping.

I sat down at my office at home to do a little bit of work and I realized, when I was stopped dead in my tracks, I was literally unable to focus on my inbox, let alone a creative piece to write for everybody.

Well I’m here to tell you that it is possible to renovate for wealth and still enjoy life; and it definitely doesn’t have to be a huge drama or stress fest like what you see on those popular TV shows. What’s that saying… you can have your cake and eat it too? Well, you can renovate AND make money by doing so. You just need to make sure to lay out the groundwork first.

So many entrepreneurs, many people in leadership and in small businesses have really gotten a great hold on integrating exercise into their daily routine. They’re all over the fact that if they exercise and they surround themselves in wonderful people, then it’s going to on flow to their business.

But, one thing that I really, really notice is that people haven’t gotten to that level yet when it comes to space medicine.

Today, I have a really cool topic for you. It came in from one of our Space Medicine Newsletter followers and it was all about what she should have in her backpack to help her with space medicine as she frequently moves house.

It’s a fantastic topic. As soon as she emailed the inquiry into me, I thought to myself, “My God. This is a cracking, cracking periscope of blog topic." With her permission, I’m going to talk to you about that today.

As I mentioned, I have this great email that came in saying:

“Every three years I have to move house for my husband’s work and my work. What I need to know is what I should put in my backpack to make the move easy and make the next house that you go to have some great space medicine and some great mojo?”

The first thing I want to say is it’s actually not something that you can put in your backpack. But, instead of having a backpack full of things that will help you with space medicine, instead, what you have is some checklists.
