Repent and Believe Podcast w/ Cynthia Smalls

Follow me on Facebook under AuntCynthia Whitaker ☺️👑😊 Join me today for some righteousness heat, as we discuss the bottom line question on the floor: If we believe that Christ Jesus died for our sins, then why are we sinning? Our Father in Heaven has called us to live holy lives now that we have come to Christ. God chose us before the foundation of the world "to be holy and without blemish before Him in love." This means that we are sanctified and separated unto God! That is why in today's episode, we are cracking open the Bible and looking at those Scriptures on holiness and on sins that will send you to ! That is why we must REPENT, BELIEVE the Gospel and OBEY it, stop SINNING and TURN to God! Henceforth, walking obedience to Him!

We will be discussing the Bible's perspective of His crucifixion as well as The Medical View of His Suffering, by Gerald H. Bradley, M.D.

Dr. Bradley delineates what the body goes through during a crucifixion - highlighting how Jesus suffered on the cross!

The Contemporary English Version says of Isaiah 52:14, "Many were horrified at what happened to him. But everyone who saw him was even more horrified because he suffered until he no longer looked human." It's saying, Jesus was so mutilated, more than ANY MAN, that when the people looked upon Him, they were astonished at what they were seeing! THEY COULDN'T BELIEVE IT - they were appalled! They were horrified! 😔😔🥺

Follow me on Facebook under AuntCynthia Whitaker ☺️👑😊 Join me today for an EXHORTATION as we discuss how we are commanded to not follow after the customs of this pagan, satanic, sinful, godless, selfish, loveless, depraved, deceived, fallen "world." Let us not be mistaken, 👉the Bible makes itself abundantly clear that we: "2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." (Romans 12):

Satan prowls around like a " roaring" lion, seeking whom he may devour! God commands us to come out of Babylon and flee this evil world and all of it's customs, practices, lust and deceptions. We are to:

👉1 John 2:15-17 - "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever."

👉Matthew 6:24 - “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money."

👉Ephesians 5:11 - "Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them."

👉John 8:12 - "Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

👉Mark 8:36 - "For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?"

We gotta stop playing with God as if we don't know what He means about being holy and living righteously!

According to Revelation 20: 11-15 - "11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.

14 And death and were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

Follow me on Facebook under AuntCynthia Whitaker ☺️👑😊 Join me today as I go on a rant and tear about mockers coming on my Facebook page talking about that the Word of God is fallible and up for interpretation because man wrote it! Therefore, the Word of God is not to be trusted because it's made out of paper and ink and men published it! 🤦🏽‍♀️ How many times do we need to keep going down this same heretical rabbit hole! I make it be known all my podcast and on my Facebook page, that I am not about the high-sounding nonsense and foolishness and that I take what Jesus called me to do very seriously! My response to this mocker, was first of all, you got your mind on the wrong thing! Furthermore, That's a blasphemous statement as well as operating in the spirit of anti-christ and you need to REPENT! We know that Jesus is the Word of God made flesh, right. And we know, believe, and trust that Jesus is perfect and sinless and without fault. Therefore, since He is the Word of God, the Word of God, the Holy Bible, is without fault, without error, and perfect! TO THINK OTHERWISE IS OF THE DEVIL!

The bottom line is that our Father in Heaven gave us His wisdom through His Spirit for men to write it down! There are two key verses that tell us how the God of the universe, had His Word (the Bible) transmitted to us through men; two texts that deal with what is known as the inspiration of the Bible. The first verse is 2 Peter 1:20-21, which says: "...No prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit." We as Christians accept God's holy Word for what it is - His wisdom written down, given to godly men by the Holy Spirit! And that's the truth we stand by and not the heretical mockings of the false brethren!

Follow me on Facebook under AuntCynthia Whitaker ☺️👑😊 Join me today as we discuss how do you see your relationship with God the Father? Is it deep enough for you to stop sinning? Do you love him so much that you will obey Him? Well that is what we'll be discussing today. Consequently, if we want to overcome temptation then we have to see our relationship with our Heavenly Father as the #1 reason not to sin. We are also taking a look at Romans 6. Paul answers the question of whether Christians should continue to sin. His answer is emphatic: we absolutely should not. First, when we came to God by faith in Jesus, we died to sin. We are not slaves to it any more. Second, what did living for sin ever get us? It led to shame and death. The righteousness given to us for free by God in Christ Jesus leads to becoming like Jesus and to eternal life. We should serve righteousness instead of sin.

Follow me on Facebook under AuntCynthia Whitaker ☺️👑😊 Join me today as we discuss the wisdom that comes from God and the wisdom that comes from this world! I start off with the wisdom of the Gospel of Jesus Christ Scripture tells us to ask for godly wisdom: “But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him” (James 1:5). Godly wisdom is, of course, from God and honors God. Godly wisdom starts with the fear of God and results in a holy life. Worldly wisdom, on the other hand, is not concerned with honoring God but with pleasing oneself. With worldly wisdom, we may become educated, street-smart, and have “common sense” that enables us to play the world’s game successfully. Godly wisdom enables us to prepare ourselves for eternity. With godly wisdom, we trade earthly values for biblical values (1 John 2:15–16). We recognize we are citizens of another kingdom, and we make choices that reflect that allegiance (Philippians 1:27; 3:20). Having godly wisdom means we strive to see life from God’s perspective and act accordingly.

Follow me on Facebook under AuntCynthia Whitaker ☺️👑😊 Join me today as we discuss 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 which says that, "8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power." OBEYING the Gospel - What does that look like? The Good News, or Gospel, is presented in Scripture, as God saving His people from their sins. The Person He sent was Jesus! The work He chose to accomplish this task of saving us, was twofold: (1) Living a life of perfect obedience to God our Father; and (2) Dying a perfect, sacrificial death as a propitiation for those He was to save. So IN FULL OBEDIENCE - We must respond to Jesus' finished work at the Cross with a resounding "YES" and with total acceptance, receive Him as Lord and Savior - BY FAITH! Without Jesus, there will be no salvation, there will be no reconciliation, and there will be no Eternal Life! Everything hinges on whether or not you repent, believe that Jesus died for your sins, and turn back to God!

OTHERWISE, YOU WILL GO TO !! 🔥🔥🔥WE OBEY THE GOSPEL BECAUSE WE HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN! WE CRUCIFIED THIS FLESH BECAUSE CHRIST NOW LIVES IN US AND BY FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD, WHO LOVED US AND GAVE HIMSELF UP FOR US, WE WALK IN THE NEWNESS OF LIFE!

Follow me on Facebook under AuntCynthia Whitaker ☺️👑😊 Join me today as we discuss how Jesus often went away alone to pray to the Father. Jesus was a praying man when He was on the earth! His disciples had watched Him pray numerous times. The more they watched, the more they began to wonder why His prayers weren’t like their own 🤷‍♀‍.

The disciples were no strangers to prayer. They’d grown up in the synagogue and knew how to pray, YET something seemed different when Jesus prayed. Something seemed 👉deeper, more 👉sincere, more 👉connected to God, more 👉powerful, and more 👉transformational, but they couldn’t quite put their finger on the difference.

So, they asked the teacher for a lesson on how to pray. “Lord, teach us to pray…” (Luke 11:1). So tune in as we break down the Lord's Prayer, for we know that Jesus didn’t intend this to simply be a memory verse, a prayer to only be recited from rote memory 🤦‍♀‍. Instead, He gave the disciples a TEMPLATE for prayer.
