Katheryn Winnick is now known for her starring role as Lagertha in the critically acclaimed show Vikings on the History Channel. It took 14 years for Katheryn to find a role that truly showcased her unique strength as a double black belt holder in Tae Kwon Do and Karate. Her journey into acting began with getting fired from her first set due to her enthusiasm for the realism of the action, which led her to instinctively yell in a scene as a background artist. Undeterred, she confidently told her mother that one day she would become a lead actress who couldn't be fired. Katheryn's determination paid off as she not only became a lead actress but also gained critical acclaim, placing her on the shortlist for major studios. In addition to her acting career, Katheryn's business acumen led her to own three Tae Kwon Do studios by the age of 21, providing financial stability while pursuing her acting dreams. Her participation in the first season of "The It Factor" helped her secure an influential theatrical agent, and her bold choices in auditions caught the attention of casting directors on both coasts. By keeping an audition journal, Katheryn gained self-awareness and insight into her strengths and weaknesses, allowing her to craft a courageous and thoughtful career. Alongside her role in Vikings, she can be seen in The Dark Tower alongside Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba, as well as in the Call of Duty WWII video game.
