Jesus warned us about being deceived in the last days. With the rapture eminent, that means it could happen at any time, we do not what to be tricked into thinking we are ready to go when we could just be going through the motions of being a real believer.

He told us to strive to enter in through the narrow gate. He said many will seek to enter in but will not be able because broad is the way that leads to destruction.

Once the Master shuts the door, those who stand outside knocking at the door, will say ‘Lord, Lord, open for us,” but He will answer and say to them, “I do not know you, where you are from.” When they begin to explain how they ate and drank in His presence Jesus will say, “I tell you, I do not know you, where you are from. Depart from Me, all you workers of iniquity.” (Lu. 13:22)

What a terrifying thing to hear. But Jesus comforts us by saying, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting fife, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. (Jn. 5:24)

Is there a spirit of resistance operating in us that is making it difficult for us to stop what we cannot quit? What time is it? I'm late! Time's up. We are eternal creatures who live in a corridor of time. The scripture admonishes us to redeem the time for the days are evil. Our life is given to us as a gift measured out as an allotted amount of time. We can invest that time in anything we choose.

The pauper and the rich man alike, are both given the same amount of time each day. The question is how will we invest that time.
